Im worried about heat detecting police helicopters

Will police helicopters be able to see my 400w light. 400w is what im gonna use. Do growtents block the heat of lights, or shall i use low heat lights like leds instead of 400w hps? And im talking about heat detecting helicopters that they use to track growers. Thanks

I highly doubt police are going to give a shit about one lousy 400watt grow lol. Doubt they would even notice it with heat detection. They're looking for bigger fish when using helicopters and heat detection.

They can only read the outside of the building's temp. If it's winter and the rest of the house is cold and the 400w room is warmer, this will show up. Not saying it's going to look all that bad. I lived in a house once that had radiant heaters, with temp control in each separate room. I would leave them all low other than the room I was in all the time. Just keep it a similar temp in the house. In the summer the roofs are hot as hell, a 400w isn't going to stand out at all.

Get a 600 watter, you'll be happier.

Your fine. Trust me it aint gonna be a heli with heat detector if you get caught. Keep your odours in check and your fine.... youd be surprised how many people grow small scale like that....

I have these heating cables sitting around and I was thinking about laying them out on my roof in a pattern that would convey how I feel about police thermal imaging but I'm just too cheap to waste hydro dollars for this....

You probably don't have anything to worry about.but if it gives you peace of mind use the t5s.but keep in mind the yield will be lower and flower time will be slightly longer.
