anyone use this? i have a LG 25k btu a/c (240volt), will it be able to accept that plug and control that unit? in every pic of these i never see where the plug inlets are, are they on the side and how many are there? I really want this unit just cuz of the security add on feature. Anyone know if u can call the system just to check the temp humidity when there isnt an emergency? Ive never use atmospheric controllers.... do u just plug your a/c and dehumidifier into them and set the presets and thats it? all info appreciated thx!

yo smurfin, I use an igs-220, nice controller, I've used C.A.P. & green air in the past but like the igs-220 features better, the log is a nice feature and the unit tells you what percent of time your equipment is running so you can dial your room in. The "brain" of the igs-220 is connected with a rj-45 cable to the power supply which also houses the outlets for devices 1 & 2. You can't dial in to check on conditions, but it can dial out if it goes into alarm ... this isn't a feature I use however.

The igs-220 is setup to control 120 volt accesories, but all you need is a 30 dollar relay to make it control your 240 volt AC, really simple to make it work.

here is another one to check out. http://amhydro.com/hobby/intelliclimate.html
I have been using a intellidose for a while and it's the coolest piece of gear I've ever bought. I have no idea what the intelliclimate costs but I suspect it's comparable in price to the igs-220 and has more features.

The growtronix looks over the top for me, I like the standalone nature of the other products. I'd hate to get busted with that thing way too much data. I think you'd want to purge the data after each grow or something or some district attourney is going to figure out how to make it give the courtroom a power point presentation.

So im gettin a 18k btu 240vlt 9amp window a/c, but my 2 dehumidifiers are 120vlt and at least 6 or 7 amps per unit. My question is, how and where would i find a climate controller capable of controlling all of these appliances with differing voltages? Most of the units i see are 15amp 120vlt. wheres the 220/240's? Do they even make controllers that will control 2 dehumidiers and 240vlt a/c units? sry im relativley new to these things.

you could make the 110/220/240 power supply with a few relays.

i never ran the controller you posted but i know when i ran my dehu on a greenair thc1 (humastat) it would kill the power to my dehu and reset it back to "stock settings" witch was much higher then i wanted i dont know if your will do that or not it dose the same with my a/c....

i dont know how in depth your trying to get but if your looking for complete computer control data log's, cellphone text, internet control via any computer you can look in to some saltwater tank controllers heres a comparison chart very neat stuff with all the bells

you can run 2 dehumidifyers REAL EASY off a 240 plug with about 10-15min, a few wire nuts, elec tape, and some patiance.

Ok, a few questions....

So if i have a dehumid/ac unit hooked up to a climate controller, does that controller actually turn the units that it controls completley off? I noticed that my dehumid and a/c are still running on standby when the generators inside them arent on. By eliminating this stand by feature (if they do in fact shut off the unit) do the climate controllers save electrictricity and make these units run more efficiently?
ALSO...
If they do in fact completely shut off dehumid/ac units, then how do you get them to work with the dehumid/ac units that dont automatically turn back on after a power interruption? like most do not turn on as i would think..
AND...
What happens if you have dehumid/ac units that turn back on, but go back to the preset temps/rh and not your custom settings?

.............

climate controller's are made for fans for the most part...the only real way that they would be helpful would to tap them into the temp/dehu controller of the unit your using and not the power it self :headbange

but why do that the one thats built in works fine and is digital :)

i say use the controller that's built into the unit's it self and let it ride it will save you time and $$$ to spend on other stuff that might be helpful like c02 or more lighting

made just for fans? why not just run the fans 24/7 or on a timer and not have to worry bout it gettin too hot? I can see why if you use co2 tho. But if you dont, then i dont see why not? I was always wondering why ppl would use climate controllers when there is perfectly good digital appliances out there that you can custom set. I have never used climate controllers but if they turn a dehumid off, then it might save power vs. u use dehumid by itself, it never stops running, the generator may turn off, but it doesnt stop running, same with a/c. The fans or something in them stay on.

running fans 24/7 would not save power either :) yes the a/c\dehu would stay powered up but i dont think its 2much to worry about..... anyway you look at it u gotta spend $$$ for a green garden

as far as me saying there for "fans" is imo but if u look at most controllers they are not made for 20+amps as your finding thats why your asking :) like i said i belive there made for smaller setup's (400hps) in a closet that needs no more then a fan to cool the room and shut it off when c02 is being used ect, as far as running them 24/7 i know ppl who do and it works wonders they have never had a prob with PM not once but at the sametime i have been in there room & it was 90deg's 20%hum and plants where not happy then at night it was 65-70deg's 80-85% hum again not happy plants and the flux in temp/hum is not good there yeild sucked  again just my imo..........

i have built a lot of rooms smurfin'herb (100+) and seen 3x that, to be honest not a one of them use a climate controller unless its hooked to a fan or a old a/c thats not digi :headbange i run my a/c as low as i can get (60 for most) same with my dehu (30%)..... i dont want them shuting off. :nono:

I was jus kiddin man. I wish i was in cali. I have been asking lots of q's, i should have pics within a week or two. I have been so damn busy tho. Its like i wake up and tend to my 4x8 and 4x4, then i go deal with any issues over at my outdoor spot, and then i go set some things up at the indoor place im doin next, then i come home and research/order shit all night and wake up and do it all over. I cant even sleep at night cuz i cant stop goin over diff stuff in my head like fan sizes, intake/outtake routing, flood depths, durations, frequencies, table sizes, rez sizes, holes sizes, how to use a inclinometer with a sun chart and compass etc.. like tomorrow for instance, 5 a.m. i gotta transplant 75 16oz. cups into two gallon grow bags (which are not fun to fill), as well as 5 two gallon beasts of plants into 5 gallons. Then i gotta haul around 100 gal of h2o 200yards from where i park, so that i can water them cuz the soil is dry as bone! Im goin weed crazy!!! Hopefully this pays off for my patientce, I dont know where i would be if i didnt have them. lol
