If I put my plants out now how would they react to the hours of daylight?

I've got a little greenhouse with 3-5 foot tall plants in 45 gallon smart pots going. Right now I'm giving them two hours of supplemental light 3:30am to 5:30am. If I stopped giving them extra light right now and didn't start pulling tarp to give them a 12 hour dark period until say, three weeks from now, would they flower out normally? Or, at this point, would they stay in veg? I need to go out of town for a minute and and it would be great if I didn't have to start pulling tarp until around the middle of may. I definitely want to avoid having them flower for a week and then reveg or just getting confused. What about a cut off date where outdoor clones will definitely go into veg?

I have a buddy down the road who stopped providing extra light around three weeks ago and all his stuff is deep into flower now and he's about to start pulling his tarp.

I'm at 39 latitude and right now there are 13.3 hours of light per day. On May 15th there will be 14.2 hours.

The strains are Atomic Northern Lights, SFV OG, Chocolate Hashberry, Alien OG and, Training Day. All from clone.

Hit me with some sweet, sweet advice.

hey gene, thanks for the response.

I _want_ them to flower :) what I'd like to do is stop giving them supplemental light _right now_, see them transition into flower and have a good stretch and then start pulling tarp the middle of May to ensure they keep flowering! Is this what would happen were I to attempt it, this is what I'm asking. What I want to avoid is reveg and confusion.

I know that some people put their young clones out in the first 1/3rd of May and they stay in veg... I've also experienced clones going into flower June 5th!

I'm sure there are some variables..

im sorry i read your post wrong.if there already flowering then i think they should finnish before going back into veg.i have a strain called m.o.b. that i have to keep on 24 hr light all year, and i hav4e to wait til at least 1st week of june or she flowers outside,so def some variables goin on

@b4df- thanks, that's a good thread. as the poster says, the most valuable part is that it makes you think of the possibilities.

@gene- Yes, I figured you just misread what I wrote. NP, Thanks for the comment. That's one vote so far for them staying in flower...

The thread that b4df linked to is about forcing a plant into flower inside under 12/12 (or greenhouse) and then putting it outside around mid july--the idea being that that plant will continue to flower T minus the forced date and not by the regular season finishing date.

I think one of the variables in my situation is the age of my plants. Like I said before I've seen 18" clones put out May 15th and they stayed in veg. My plants are older...around three months old..are probably dying to go into flower. I wonder if there are any other variables I could try to control to ensure that my plants stay in flower..?

Would really like to get some more opinions :)
