Identifying Jack Herer Phenotypes

Hi. I could use a little education in identifying The different Jack Herer Phenotypes. I'm currently grow 2 JH from a seedsman 5 pk Fem at 30* N. Plants probably receive less than 6 hours direct sun. The two plants are very different.
Jack Herer #1.

Jack Herer #2

I wonder if #2 Is expressing Haze or Thai characteristics. I've read there are 3 main Phenotypes. Which one is #2?
Thanks

Where does Thai come from? More like Nl x Haze imo.

Cheers
Tks for reply. I internet search for this and the consensus seems to be it is a Haze, Skunk, & Northern lights. Sensi Seeds says there are 4 phenotypes. None of the pictures I see look like mine. I've never seen a Haze except in Pictures.

Tks. Things can get confusing. lol , I wonder how many breeders are doing a different version of Jack Herer? Some threads here rave about it, especially Sensi's version. I had some auto JH by by Seedsman and thought it was a nice mild daytime smoke. I'm learning.

The real jack is strong, sensis is the original and another company called exotic seeds does a legit jack too(called sir jack)from old sensi stock.there is quite a few different versions some better than others but if I was starting from seed I'd get the seed from these 2 company's.. 76

Thanks William 76
I believe there is a gentleman on there who is very passionate about Sensi's JH. He says it is some of the best MJ. I smoked some auto JH from Seedsman and thought it was an nice mild daytime smoke. Being a newbie I found the thread to be intimidating. Lol! However I might have to try Sensi's version. It sounds like it's a winner.

jack herrer contains haze male A probably, it contains nl1 x hazeA and some skunk1 to it, it is not more than 25%haze. so to find haze pheno is pretty rare, as it is very uniform cross with mainly 77 days phenos.

I had 13weeker peppery cut, which was colombian for sure.

I think that this description from Chaco, sumps it up pretty well:

"I like it very much, it's uniform for seed stock these days and generally potent with some individuals being great.I still haven't found a pheno that was as hazy as I might like. The high is soaring, so to speak, and very long lasting. It certainly is by no means a bad choice and could certainly be mine if I could find a bit more haze, but fantastic individuals I have found, crummy individuals I have not, so its pretty damn good overall"

so to find haze pheno is not so common, but it is possible, but if you want haze pheno, you would choose nevilles haze or NL5haze instead of Jack. with NL5haze you need like 20 seeds to find it, with Jack much more seeds.

Thank you very much for the the information. I have never seen a Haze of any type let alone smoked any. I liked the description of the high, that's my kind of high. As you can tell from the pictures the two plants are very different, this was unexpected. I'm lookin fwd to trying it after proper dry and cure. This season was a refresher course in growing. I just bought a house with enough room for a 10' x 20' greenhouse. I'm around 30* north so I should be able to flower a Haze until January. Its a legendary strain and its an old school high. I haven't grown since 2010 and I smoke Colorado and California Dispensary weed. It doesn't do the trick. Maybe my tolerance is so high that I won't experience the old school highs of the 70's. However I'm going for it. Thanks again and I'm sure Ill be seeking advice in the future.

it is beginning of flowering, let it flower more and let see, but it doesn't seem to me very different bro. it just seems that one is more hungry for N.

if you want something close to highs of 70s, you have to grow something much more sativa than Jack. but it will be more difficult to grow than Jack, which is easy to grow.

Thanks, I have some of Ace's Golden Tiger and Malawi. I have Dutch Passions Durban. I would like the AfroPips version. Other Africans ; so many.
I'll be looking at some Central American Sativa's. I'm interested in the real deal Oaxacan, some of the best Cannabis I have smoked, second only to Thai sticks circa 72-73. So many sativa's, so little time. I think its also time to look into the Hazes, so many: Nevils, # of different version Old-timers, etc. Now, for the first time in 75+ years I'll be able to devote my attention full-time to my grows. I hope to achieve what you and many others have achieved.

years ago we grew a knock-off of JH, called jock horror from nirvana... prob a buck, maybe two per seed- the plant was by far the best we have ever grown... by far... it was kick-ass - being old and stupid, we didn't take a cutting... since that time we have gone thru 2 1/2 jacks of jock horror, and a pack of JH (from the late 90;s) and never found that lady again... last grow we started '2' jock's , both were ladies, but not the lady we are looking for - i used to chuckle when guys spoke of 'elites', but for sure they are out there- in 25+ years of growing only saw a elite once (jock horror) ... will continue the hunt

I heard that!! I may be burnt out and on fruitless search for the holy Grail but I like to get HIGH. I figure I got 10 more years and a bunch of strains to go through to find out. I'll be paying attention
