Ideas for a homemade stash box?

Hi guys!

I'm planning on building myself a stash box, and I wanted to see if you guys had any ideas.
I need something small to mid-sized, concealable, and airtight, or close to it (a big must - shouldn't be able to smell it from nearby). If its not quite airtight, not a big deal - store some Old Spice next to it or something.

Also needs to be something that would be common in a home (no huge pot leaves on the top).

I'm thinking a book safe, or maybe something out of a deck of cards.

Any ideas?
Or is there already a thread about this that I totally missed?

The best thing for you to do would be go to a store that sells little boxes, normally a junk type store. I get all my boxes from places like this. Normally handcarved and classy.

I use a cigar humidor. It's got a lock, and is pretty much smell proof to all but the smelliest of weeds. If my pot is too dry, I wipe down the inside of the humidor like there were cigars in there, and the pot moistens up nicely. It's nicely finsihed, and they can be pricey.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I'm looking for something more concealable.

A little box is easily opened, and a cigar humidor is pretty suspicious.

That's why I was thinking a book safe or something.

Depending on how small and stealth you want this is my favourite find.

Burts bees is my favourite lib balm and the tin when empty carries a nice couple bowls and it's pretty stealthy. Plus it fits well into your pocket.

I just started using one and so far it doesn't smell when I hold it up to my nose.

All depends on how much stash you are talking about. Personally I use a very nice wooden box for cigs, lighter, papers, cardboard, grinder etc, and glass jars for curing weed, and plastic tupperware containers for drying weed to sit out in. I am on the look out for a nice example of a tea caddy though. Not sure how well it would keep the weed, but they were made for storing tea leaves long term, so should be relatively effective, and have a nice lock on the front too. Trouble with them is they tend to have bare wooden interiors, and you'd really need to line them with something trich friendly.
