has anyone used either ideal air 75 or 200 humidifier? need one for 160 sqft room. wondering if the 75 can hold up with a room being exhausted nearly 24/7. planning on 3k light and 12k btu portable ac for this summer, last summer it was in the 30-40% at best even 20's at times. anyone with experience with either model would be glad to hear from ya. ive heard there wasnt much of a difference between the output on either model and that ur better off with the smaller unit for nearly half the price. can anyone confirm this? just found the mainland mart humidifiers those things look theyll put out some serious humidity, but i think it may be overkill for my room

its trivial to add humidity.

quite costly and expensive to remove it.

no need to spend lots of cash here... just get one of those honeywell bypass humidifiers.

you might need 2 of them... i do not know your circumstances.

however, adding water vapor is stupid imo. you are very likely to cause moisture issues in your house, and plants in general do not need exceptional control over humidity.

Sealing your room [stopping 24/7 venting]will help a lot.

800 sq ft, $73 This one works pretty well.

I think you need a bit more AC than 12k for 3k lights. Check Ventilation 101 sticky this forum. Good luck. -granger

where i live it his really dry pretty much year round. ive bought three regular humidifiers from home depot in the past. and they dont work for shit in grows. when ur humidity is so low ur plants will def notice. slow growth and deficiencies. id rather not vent my room, but the keep odor in control, and aircool my lights its either that or put another hole in the wall which id rather not do. i did 2400 watts open hoods sealed room last summer and it was a bit warmer than i like, especially on the really hot days. so i figured air cool lights with some exhaust will help with temps and hopefully wont run my ac 24/7. i like to keep my humidity at 60-70% so being at 20-40 just doesnt cut it. yields are so much higher with a humid room and proper vapor pressure deficit, its not even funny. id rather quite growing indo than grow in a hot dry room again

12 portable AC is about like an 8k window unit. Ideal Air makes garbage, their dehuey are the worst. My 180 pint unit removes about as much water as a 70 pint Kenmore. I wouldn't give them my money again. 3 lights x 4000 btu each = 12k btu cooling, but you would be better off with a mini split or window unit if you can.
