i never thought i would say that i have 2 season pases, for 3 years in a row. i ride 100 days a year. Heavenly opens nov 17. I can be at the very top from my front door, in 45 minutes (including driving, and taking 3 chair lifts).
i cant wait for the snow.

Hey OMT...are they still putting a "resort" up on Hatcher pass?...I've heard talk of that for quite a while now.

Im heading to Arapaho basin (colorado) tomorrow....lots of new snow last week, so it should be good....not a lot of the runs are open yet tho.

As far as I know.....yes. But it could be another 5 yrs.
I was there last sunday and I notice alot of brush had been removed and there are alot of those expiditer flags on trees everywhere.
Supposedly a private investor has made a purchase but I cant be positive.
Hatchers is where im headed to tommorow.....there were tons of peeps there last week.

I love going boarding atleast a couple times a year. Usually somewhere in NH or VT. Killington is prolly my favorite mountain so far, lots of stoners there. I always try to wait to hop on the gondolas till i see a group of stoners get on. Then its a five minute puffing session, open the windows for the final approach, and then quick get off before the lift operators come over to help. lol

The snow is falling in Utah, as well! I hear the lifts are set to open within the next two weeks, provided that Mother Nature keeps up her end of the bargain. For now, earnin' our turns keeps us satisfied. Can't wait for the "best snow on Earth!"

I've been been itchin to snowboard for a while now, but im on the east coast so it will be a few weeks yet... I ride a burton Baron 162, bought it 2 years ago for 500$, pretty sweet board. Some of the resorts i plan on going to this year are Copper mtn, co, stowe, vt, and prolly some stuff in eastern canada. I heard this winter is gonna be good for the east coast snow wise too.

I also enjoy smoking out the gondolas especially in Telluride :woohoo: got a new board and bindings Forum XDestroyer and some burton freestyles with toe caps. To anyone thinking of getting some new bindings I highly highly recomend getting some with the toe-caps, much better control and brings your feet snugly into place in your binding.

Gonna try and cop some new boots too just need a little extra dough, but I should be heading up to Silverton Mountain with a few buddys in a few weeks and definatly going to Telluride for sure, and maybe Steamboat and few other places this year.

I ride at my local mountain every year and get a season pass, very very small but none the less fun. Just wondering if most of you like to just board or if anyone elses hittin up the jumps and rails? :sasmokin: its gonna be a good season this year. peace

last weeks trip only lasted a couple hrs cuz my homies girl was acting like a spoiled brat, and she couldent do shit for herself...so were gonna try again w/out her...LOL

I cant wait go heli-skiing/boarding near Valdez again...I went 2 years ago, and it was INSANE (I'm not skilled enough on a board just yet, but I can "kill-it" on skis)

If thats you in the picture, you really can "kill-it". I want to go heliskiing sometime in the near future but just not yet, I'm too busy with other things that I can't ski enough in one season to build up my confidence to that point. The only week or two that I can ski is mostly remembering what I have forgotten. I like to go into undiscovered forests, I'm starting to learn the wonders of the off-pist now, being an ex-competition skier I'm a bit too stiff still.

But my specialty is going down "red" (don't know if there is the same difficulty rating in the usa) slopes on a crappy plastic sleigh with no brakes whatsoever at night, that is absolutely the craziest thing, last winter hit the barriers so hard I fainted. Call me stupid but the rent for the sleigh is only 4 euros a day:) Much less than a pair of skis and boots.

Went last sunday and it was sick. Hiked to about the 4500 ft mark and dropped in. We could have gone to the top of the peak at 4811 but it was windy as hell. Hatchers has some nice areas to ride.....we were floatin on about 3 ft of good soft snow with no base....on a deep carve i was hittin low ground shrubs but luckly no dings.
Im diggin the flow bindings but its a whole different feel now...no pressure on my feet anymore...just wierd.

Waiting on some new snow.....seems like im not the only enthusiast for snow in these parts.....everything local is all tracked out.
