excellent point, and i agree that the game is constantly changing. dont make yourself an easy target and dont post pics of monster grows that are bound to give LEO a throbbing erection . the american doesnt feel safe posting ANY pics at all; some might call that paranoia, i call it assessing ones personal risk situation and acting accordingly.

Everybody needs to get good internet security, make up some new user names, post tons of pics of huge commercial grows and drop many, fake facts about the area you live in. It will drive the cops nuts to chase all the leads. Be sure to talk about selling pot to 5 year olds and post pics of large stacks of cash.

I have noticed over some time now that this site ranks very highly in google searches for marijuana related things. I for one am concerned that anyone out there can do a simple google search and come across all of our stuff on this site. Try it out, type your thread name or even a strain name or anything into google and it often links directly to ic. Yes this is cool, more traffic, but it might not be the right traffic. I don't like the fact that probably what I am typing right now is going to be embedded into googles search engine. Friends/family or Leo can gather info on someone really easily this way. Maybe it isn't a big deal to most but It kind of bugs me. Talk to someone you know about a strain you grew and all they have to do is search it into google and find your whole grow project....

Anybody else notice this or not like this?

dude you don't think leo knew about this site a long time ago? or that they didn't already have some members here? they don't need google to see your growlog or anything else on this site cuz they can just visit the site. and trust me, im sure they have leos registered on this site already and have for a long time. you just gotta use common sense when you post and don't give out any real personal details or anything that could link you to your grow.

this thread reminds me of the thread i saw a few weeks ago where they were asking people to post pictures of their hands. that was so ****in stupid, i don't understand why anyone would post a picture of themself, even if it is just their hand.

In my honest opinion its a good thing. Let them know were out there and that its easy. THe more these baby boomers know about whats going on the less they might be swayed by false propaganda. A lot of tokers dont know whats possible. I think that the public truley needs to get the ins and outs of the culture so they dont think were a bunch of junky assholes doin whatever to stay high. Finally someone else has it figured out. It's even more fun if you add the make and color of your car, what you do for a living and other fun facts regarding yourself. You can even add the schools your kids go to. Fun things to do nearby. Act like you really know the place, lol. If you do a good job it can be hilarious.

And take a picture of some random guys car and say its yours. Make sure you get the license plate in there nicely and be sure the guy is like 80 so even more hilarity in sues when they bust his grow op.

I imagine the powers that be are quite happy to see this thread,especially the part about icmag rating high in the google search engine.And rightfully so as many enterprises pay and jockey for position on search engines.It shows the success of the site.It in itself doesnt represent any security concern in my eyes.
