True, but not as typically defined by the general consensus of this website.

Regardless, does any one know what I am talking about when I say "Bleaching"? I have posed the question in regards to light distance, many times to no avail...

Hey bro,
I used to run vertical 600's and they would be as close as 2" without any bleaching.
I would say your safe as long as its not a 1000.
Peace, Jro

Depending on Strain Ive had bleaching as low as 6" and as high as 12", a light mover reduces this distance somewhat. I havent used a light mover for years, so cant actually tell you, but im thinking of buying one for my new veg setup coz Im running more plants per table soon

Joe, Very true, Some strains are more sensitive. A good nitro feed would help keep them strong.
Blue, I never had a cool tube, The verticals run pretty cool from there position. depending on how you are going to set up your chambers, if you keep the light to low you may not recieve good penetration on the outside of your grow, Right now i am using 4 600's with mini sun soaker reflectors, the foot print is pretty good on a 7.5x7.5' table, they are around 18" above the tops ( bulb ).

2nd run in this tent with 2 cooltubed 600Watt HPS

7910Pictures_076.jpg

20 vegging clones, 9 each table, (growing 9 per table I just tip them and they fill the canopy, then into flower, chop all the lower shit off, proven to make top buds fatter) two will be mothers, 4 different AK Pheno's , so I'll take two clones from the other two phenos once they are vegged a bit, I ran out of hydroton. Next run im going back to doing 25 mini bushes each table, as Im going to bump up the crop rotation times I need more plants in less time to fill that canopy, gonna get a light mover for my veg room to bump up production there for 50 Healthy Beaming Vegged clones ready for the flower room rather than having to veg for a bit in the flower room

In the left corner we have the room exhaust, In the right corner the light exhaust

The other table will be filled with 9 of the ones vegging under the other 600, In the pic below above the empty table you maybe able to see the intake for the cooltube exhaust comes from a hole ducted to the tent ceiling, it just intakes ambient room temps. the combination of 4 inch inline fans mounted behind the light fitting ensures efficiency of the cooltube system that is also ducted to the ceiling with a 6.5" inline exhaust fan. Intake into the room is via the window that is screened first by vertical blinds that are safety pinned together so when its breezy they stay together as not to show the black side of the panda film curtain that seals the window frame by velcro so I can roll up the panda curtain. the bottom of the panda curtain hangs over the sill nearly to floor level and allows a good positive intake stream and not allowing light leaks when im working on it at night and during the day when its lights off.

Ummah :nono: Holes in the Ceiling!

6.5" Vortex for Room Exhaust, 6.5" inline fan for cooltube exhaust. I have a whirly bird on the roof that exhausts to outside, the grow is on the 2nd floor so I am high up so exhaust odours are way above a reasonable detection height. I dont use or need carbon filters, if this was any bigger I definitely would though. They are hanging from bungee cord attached to hooks on the jack truss, cant hear a thing! I leave the room exhaust on 24/7 and the light exhaust is on only when lights are on, in winter I dont bother turning on the 4" fans behind the light fitting as its cool enough in there, and sometimes turn off the whole cooltube system as temps get real low and my lights are only on at night in flower.

The out of action Veg room with a Dead Ed Rosenthal Super bud mother ( I decided to go SSAK47) It will be fully operational in couple of weeks.

Hi jrosek,
Beautiful grow! I am investing my life and $20K, within the next few months, to set up two 3.5' x 7.0' cabinets with two 600HPS bulbs in it each, runninng two ballasts 24/7 on a flip flop.

I am shooting for 0.8 grams per watt right off the bat, as I have my strain, growing technique and eveything dialed in. But I am really hoping for 1GPW.

What I wana ask you is, how are you getting 4 pounds a month? Are you using four Ballasts and 8 bulbs?

I can only see a max of 1200 grams per month with 1200 watts of ballast.

I am very interested in your grow. Could you elaborate a little please? Thank you!

You should see that no problems. I have hit the 1 GPW mark or more since I have ran 2 600's on a 4x4 ebb table. This includes maybe one plant or a couple more a run that end up trashed and/or hashed. Mind you this is with some shitting yielding strains in the mix. If you have a decent yielding strain that you have dialed in you will hit that no problem.

That is good to hear!
I am hitting about 0.7-0.8 GPW per 60 days with my best 150 cab. Seems to be the higher endof the yeilding spectrum. Yeah my clones are well established gentically, and very stable and seems to be getting better with each consecutive clone.
So when I blast them with the powers of a 600hps and all those extra lumens,
I sure hope to see a big difference in thier appearance and yeild!

I appreciate you digging that old question up and putting in the time to share some knowledge. The more the better, as always. That was cool of you:)

^ sick man

No Prob Bulenath. I know how testing new waters can be. I came into that with no knowledge of hydro but a couple years of growing under my belt. I got more then expected to tell you the truth max being a little over 3 lbs off 1 4x4 with 2 6's. Even with a couple of snafu'sthe first run I still hit right above the 1 gpw mark and have only gone up since then. I dig them more then 1 1000 watter thats a fact!

Im in, I use a 600 digital greenhouse.( x4 )
I run 25 1 gal IRB's in a 44x44" area. I veg 10 days from rooted clone and flower for 55 days. I actually run 4 of these on a perpetual harvest. ( every 2 weeks )
I average 1.25 zips per plant wich of course is 2lbs every 2 weeks with 4 600's.
The strain is bog bubblicious.

I love looking at these pics and it took me nearly two hours to find them again, I forgot which thread they were in! :bashhead:

At the moment im running 9 plants under each 600 for flowering, I like your setup and can fit 25 pots per table

I want to reduce/eliminate any veg time in the flower room, as the way i do it now needs a week of veg in the flower room to fill that space.

My last run in the tent got me just on 2lb (2lb3OZ if you count the popcorn) growing 4 untested strains, So once i choose my keeper I should do better

Just interested how you go about your clones, I have a system in mind but would be good to see yours as im kinda mimicking your 25 pot per light gig!

cheers mate

Four pounds a month with 2400 watts of bulb?

That is 1.12 grams per watt per 55 days. Fucking Incredible.

I pray to hit 4lbs a month. That is just pure inspiration.

Hey guys whats up...i'm excited for this club/thread...I've just fired up my 600w lumantek digi christmas day for the first time in a year and a half....I am using a cook tube, I used to be growing in a 3.5 sq/ft space pushing about 200w/sq.ft, but shut it down out of frustration....I was thinking for the longest time that I had a really base ph...but now I think this was bleaching due to such high intesity and being pretty close to the light...

I kinda wanna cry now because I killed these beautiful plants with too much white vinegar...I used a little more and a little more because it didn't seem effective until they burned. once they started going I couldn't stop it....turns out all I had to do was tie them down??? this can be a frustrating sport...sometimes i get mad and don't grow for a long time then I get mad when I start up again and realize I could have been "x" amount of time into it instead of waiting, once again, on seeds....rrrrgggRRRGGG

Peace :badday:

get a ph tester , some ph up and down . dont use vinager , even if you grow in soil , get ph tester normally used for hydro. check the ph in the watering bottle before you water ... will save the cash on seeds

if you can afford it get a cf tester too . there cheap and they pay for themselves

then when your plants go different colours you can illiminate ph from the equation.

something to amuse you ... double yoka seed

oh yer ...im part of the 600watt club now upgraded from 4's bought myself 2 600watt lumateks for a self christmas present. vegged under 2 400 MH ,2 x 600 flowering 11 ,3--4ft NLxBB + co2 injection will post when they flower more and the buds come out.

laterz
