14 years of clubbing experience.

Been to all the super clubs (Gatecrasher, Cream, Godskitchen, Sundisential, Ministry of Sound)

Possess a massive amount of music.

But, live in a dodgy little town with hardly any clubbing scene.

I have a social worker friend, i want to hook her up and get started DJing in whatever shitty clubs there are in my town.

HOW do i get out into big wide open club scene?

so many people misjudge us, they dont seem to understand
but hardcores like an addiction, spread across our fairland
so many doubted the future of the music we so love
but when the date is set we still unite as one
so listen up ravers to my lyrics take heed, we are hardcore and proud
ent no dying breed, come from north, south, east, west, together to unite
on a musical mission to prove hardcore will never die
coz were all ordinary people with a love for the music
with a love for the scene, and everything that it brings
it brings love,peace,unity, multicultural harmony

Yep. Network like you've never networked before, and immediately start making mixes and uploading them to places like Soundcloud and the like.

Being a successful DJ (or sound engineer, or gigging musician) is more about who you know than it is about where you live. There are clubs/venues just about everywhere these days. Also, there are usually big enough towns nearby any small ones that are worth the drive in order to make money.

You need a really detailed plan of action that includes everything, even how you respond when someone complements what you are doing.

Post a few more YouTube samples. Word gets out. Talk to CD/record shops to give them a plug while you are choosing what playlist you want to do.

Hit a few suburbs of London. "Play it and they will come".....

Your a little late to that game bro Ive been in the scene since 96 and know many artists/dj's as well as travel to work festivals...if you dont have time and the money to invest in the equipment and software to make your own music to go dj you wont get very far

But

Being in a small community you have the ability to start something in your area and work up a following of fans

Another thing about small communities is the close mimdedness of others who hate electonic music who will try to shut you down before you begin lol

getting your fingers in to work in a club is hard...best thing you can do is hang out with a decent DJ and turn into his protege...have him teach you everything he knows...learn his equipment...get his drinks...go every nite for a long time...become his right hand man...dj's like party favors...one day he will get sick and you will fill in...or when he is not threatened anymore by you he may give you a nite he wants off...and you will never look back from there.....i taught DJ's for years..been doing it since 1984...so 30 years in June...in the summer of 84 this dj called in sick and i knew the bartender...i was sitting at the bar and said i can do it...i filled in one night...i did better than him so i kept working...you have to be in the right place at the right time...PM me if you want to...DJXX

I figured long time ago the best thing to do to get into the trade is to produce a dozen super cool tunes...

I had Cubase 7 for more than a year and havent spent much time on it ... produced like 3 tracks, thats all :pointlaug:

Better get cracking with it once again

No is the simple answer,I have loads of dj friends and only 1 or 2 produce there own stuff.im not saying it wouldn't help your cause in many ways but you should take one thing at a time at the beginning.best of luck

Mix, and upload an insane amount of material. Eventually something will happen. Dedication always pays off.

Myself, and all of my friends DJ'd back in the early to mid 90's. Not very many of them went on to actually make a career of it. Life sort of got in the way. It was all vinyl, and technic 1210's back then. Not so anymore. IT is so easy to "be a DJ' now it is insane. You don't actually have to have much skill anymore. Eventually Dj's will just be an A.I. program. People will be obsolete in the equation.

Sorry bro, but I think you meant to say anybody can play music. But being a good DJ is a talent, reading the crowd, knowing when to turn it down so the owner can make some cash at the bar ;) That mix that you worked on all week, merging with that mix of songs that's being requested.

Djing is alot more than autoMix.

OP....Consider Video mixing to set yourself apart from the rest. Alot small clubs/bars might give you the opportunity based on the fact your showing something different.
