I have been growing for about 5yr now and I have always had nice dark green waxy leaves. Until not to long ago that stoped for me. I have changed a few things from the norm that I am used to so I'm trying to figure out what is diff.

Now I know that diff strains have diff traits, but I dont think thats the situation here. For instance I have clones that I had donated to me. They came off nice plants(I seen the moms) with green stems, and nice green waxy leaves. Now that they are in my hands they are putting off purple meristems as well as petioles and the leaves are just a dull green.

I have this issue with all the plants in my possession at this time including much older(about 4mon) Misty moms in 1gal bags. I have given a feeding here and there and I noticed they would start to put off some waxy leaf in the new growth, but would not complete a waxy leaf.

This is realy bothering me..People said OVERWATERING..so I waited longer between watering..now I'm underwatering and my plants are wilting...Cant seam to win here...

I found out my bottle of EJ grow went bad...gots me a new bottle now. checked all my other nutes as well.

FYI: I have many nute lines(I'm playing) but I mostly use EJ grow and Kelp for veg..Then guano teas for flower.

Here is a pic of them last wk...2wks into soil..(With cool MH lighting)

I gave them some Kelp (3tsp:1gal) and this is what they look like today(in living room with warm light)

this is a semi close up of one of the plants(Schrom) the purpling is worse on other plants...

I know i missed some important details so let me know what you would like to know.

I'm interested in the soil runoff pH number. On one hand, humic acid (from your compost) is a buffering agent in the 6.8-6.9 range. On the other hand, peat moss runs around pH 5 and needs to be limed before use as potting soil.
Your soil DOES look a touch soggy; I have found drilling holes in the sides of the pots to be useful for problem wet soils.

Psst.. for instant waxiness, try hitting them with a light mist of SMC leaf wash.

Nice strawberries btw. Workin' on a cannabis x fragaria, undetectable, psychoactive, fruit-bearing hybrid are we? ;)

For waxy leafs and added protection, use neem oil! excellent for the plants, keeps the insects off. I USE 5ML PER L.

Sounds like alot of potassium and not much else. Why 0 phosphorus? Maybe that is the reason for the purple coloring...

I just tested Runoff with my digital pen(M100)..I used my tap water that I let sit out in 2ltr soda bottles in my kitchen for [email protected] runoff was [email protected]...

I know thats high(not new to this) and no i dont add any ADDITIONAL lime to my soil. I have not fed them other than some Kelp 2 times, otherwise tap water.

MynameStitch: We are talking about the healthy wet, shiney, soft leaves. I have a dull green and they feel dry to the touch.

They are old enough to be feeding a grow nute. Just the kelp emulsion isn't going to give you the right levels of N (among other things) that a rapidly-growing young plant needs. I'd start at half strength for the first couple feedings, adjusting your pH to 6.7 or so before use. You know, that closeup doesn't look bad... ready for food for sure, and you definitely will want to stabilize your pH back in range, but not 'sick' per se.
