hello all.i'm doing up a new closet and wanted some opions please.
i am hooking up a carbon scrubber and a 6 in. hose that will run from the scrubber to either the top of the closet[about 2ft. above the bat wing] to suck out heat or right above the bat wing for the 400 watt hps. which would be better???? i think top of closet but not sure thanks for all remarks and peace

top is best, directly above light. hot air rises. just make sure your fan is strong enough.

thankyou both, first i would rather do it right the first time because my plants will be in there.if anyone has a 400 watt hps ,in a 3ft by 3 ft by 7 ft tall closet or cabnet please leave a opion.hose at top of the closet or 2 ft. lower but near the bat wing thanks again for all post and peace

did you already buy your fan? sounds like a 265cfm dayton would be more than enough.

definitely top of closet and also put an small standard house fan at the bottom to force air upwards to the exhaust. This will save you a few degrees. Make sure your passive intakes are the correct size and you will have a negative pressure environment.

Aim for 75f...where you measuring the ambient or radiant temps? The plant can handle higher radiant temps than ambient....

Yikes...the room and res temps are too high IMO...especially the res temps. Anything over 80 in the res is asking for root rot...

hello sandman,i grow in soil so no res or did you mean rad? and now i have brought the convertion buld down to 14 in. above my plants and it was 80 though the night and day on 1 thermouniter and the other one was 90 and it was right across from it.when it's time for flowering i'm pretty sure i can keep it around 75 at night when the lights are on.trying to get it down some more. peace
