I think I have spider mites. ~HELP~

T

Heres a pic they are red and I have to see them with a micro scope.
I don't see them on all my buds just this one. But only certain plants have these white spots on the leaves. But I do not see any webs from the spider mites?

Should I just chop that bud down or should I get something to get rid of them?

I'm doing an all organic soil.

Please can someone help me. I really don't know what to do and started to notice that they are starting to get over all my plants. The plants are 8 weeks into flower.

Webbing happens when the mites are bad, does not happen right away.
Yes you got mites there man,
How far into flowering are you?

What strains are you growing, or better yet how long do your strains normally take to finish?

Since your 8 weeks into flower, you are probably pretty damn close to being done. Meaning, you cant really spray anything on the buds without doing damage.

If your strains normally finish around 8 or 9 weeks, it might be a good idea to just harvest. Although if they take a bit longer, nobody really likes premature bud. You could try wiping the leaves one at a time just to slow the mites down a bit.

Hopefully your close enough to harvest to be able to just harvest. Those mites will suck the leaves to death and form webs on your buds in no time. There one of the worst pests you can get imo.

After you harvest, your gonna need to do a suppper cleaning of everything in the room, with bleach and water.. everything in the room. Maybe even set a fogger off when the room is empty. Then on the next plants, be sure to do preventative neem/sm-90 sprays on a regular basis.

Good luck

p.s. your lucky your 8 weeks into flower, if it was like 5 or 6 weeks in you would have a royal fight on your hands. Been there, done that :puppydoge

I'm growing mostly bag seed and I might just slow them down and wait until 9 weeks to harvest because I wanted to have a couch lock high. But it might not be possible. There are 3 different types of bag seed.
I have 2 indica which I know will be done atleast by 10 weeks the most. (Which are the worst with white spots)
Then I got 4 Fruity more sativa dom plants and hopefully they won't be to immature when pulled within 9 or 10 weeks.(These are just as bad as the 2 indica's)
1 more indica dominate VERY frost and isn't damaged at all but noticed they are starting to get to it.

Will they harm the buds? Because I'm not really worried about the leaves. I'm doing a sog grow. :frown:

I got 2 sweet tooth that look alright. And got 2 Jacks poison which seem alright.

Get some sticky traps/ no pest strips, you can uise neem oil, toabbcco juice recipe and there are others, more peeps will chime in.

But whatever you use, use more than one, always take more than one remedy, they are resilant little bastards.

Well I plan on getting some sticky traps and neem oil to wipe the leaves with.

They destroy the leaves and in turn it affects your bud growth. So use those 2 and repeat neem every 7 days.

I got 2 Hot Shot No-Pest Strips. Should I hang them up or should I put them on the scrog near the buds?
