Strain of Mj? Cannacopia gov mule and Chuck D
Hydroponic or soil? Soil
From seed or clone? Seed
Age of plant in question? Four weeks
What stage (Veg/Flower; how many days into)? Four weeks into veg
Medium (Soil, Rockwool, Hydroton etc.)? Soil
Container/Pot size? 5 Gallon
Have they been transplanted, if so how long ago? I messed up here and started in 5 gallon pots so they have never been transplanted
If soil, composition ratios (peat moss, perilite, vermiculite etc.)? I messed up here as well and used MG. I amended the MG soil with 15% perlite and 15% vermiculite and 70% MG soil
Water runoff Ph? I've never been able to test the run off as the 5gallon pots don't yet require enough water to have runoff
Nutrients added? No nutrients have been added
Ratios of nutrients (N% P% K%)? N/A
Feeding schedule? N/A
When were they last fed/watered? Last watered 4 days ago
How are you determining when to feed/water (weight, wilting, etc.)? I watered them when they were a week old with 1.5L of water then waited "THREE" weeks and the soil 2" down was still VERY damp but the top was super crusty and they plants were starting to droop so I figured that the roots had not grown far enough down so I gave a small amount of water 1L to each plant and they did perk up a bit
TDS/EC/PPM? No idea
Tap/RO/Distilled water? Hard well water that has sat out for 48H
Ph before and after adding nutrients? Water was adjusted to 6.5-6.8
Is your Ph equipment properly calibrated? I'm using a PH drop kit ( I'm aware that they are not great but I think they are better then nothing at all)
Light intensity/Age of bulb/Wattage? 600W HPS brand new bulb
Distance to the canopy? 24" (should be closer but I'm dealing with heat issues)
Temps at canopy? 82 degrees
Temps at root zone or reservoir? 75 degrees
Day/Night temps (Min.-Max.)? Day 82 - Night 65
Current air flow (CFM)? 350CFM exhaust with passive intake
Is there air blowing directly onto plant? No
Using CO2? No
Relative humidity? 32-35%
Growing technique (Scrog, Sog, Supercropping etc.)? will top eventually
Has plant recently been pruned, clones taken, fimmed or pinched? No
Pests? Tiny bugs that look like fruit flies but don't seem to be harming the plant at all. I suck them up with a shop vac each day and squish the ones that I miss :)
Chemicals used to irradicate? No
If so,When? N/A

Aditionald details:

- My grow room is a 3X3X8H room painted flat white.
- I have two exhaust fans equaling roughly 350 CFM and a 12" x 12" square cut out at the bottom for intake.
- In the grow room I have three fans blowing; two on the ground pointing up on an angle to help move some of the cooler air up and one fan blowing on the light to try and move some heat away from the bulb.

- I think that they are either suffering from Nute burn and everytime I water the fert in the MG is released and is simply going to make things worse. Or that they are suffering from the heat but I am thinking that it's the MG crap soil. (I was told not to use MG soil but I had no other options at the time)

I'm not going to give up on them regardless of if the die or not as this has been a great learning experience either way and I've already learned a lot which will help educate me for the next time I give the a grow :)

Here are a few pictures.

it sounds like your buckets are to large for your plants. If the soil at the bottom of the pot is staying wet your going to have problems up where your roots are.

Possibly a micro nutrient def, it looks like the veins are yellowing a bit also. After 4 weeks, even in those size buckets, you could probably feed them a little.

I gurantee you that those roots will not be down in the mess at the bottom of that five gallon bucket.

the bugs are probably soil gnats aka fungus gnats.
Their larvae munch at roots a little.
That isn't what people call nute burn, but it is from too much nutes, it's in the MG soil.
i sure don't know what you should do about it though.
You have problems from the medium being soggy too.
What do you do about it in that bucket though?

if it ever dries out, maybe it'll be all good.

4 weeks old in a 5 gallon? As in 4 weeks FROM seed?

Well the pot is too big to manage odds are.

I would leave em be,

to those asking if it needs food...

Did you say Miracle Grow?

If you did then, is it nute released odds are?

If so then you should have more than enough food for that sized plant especially in that sized pot. I think it is WET, zero to do with nute burn especially if you are not feeding her.

She needs time to stretch her legs, locate the goods in the MG and NOT more water. Leave her be, allow her to grow and eat those nutes up that are in the MG and THEN worry about nute issues ONCE the mg food is actually gone.

I don't see the food leaving in that 5 gallon with that sized plant anytime soon. Was the plant started in that pot/soil? Odds are not so the soil odds are still has plenty of food left in it.

Overwatered/too wet and leave her be.

Especially with the "I haven't watered enough to have run off". Having zero run off is worse then the 10%+ - that most want. Make sure that the entire soil is wet BUT since your girl is so damn small for that size pot I would wait. If I did water I would water UNTIL there was runoff then stop. At least you would know the entire pot got fed versus giving water here and there assuming it needs it.

Also another thing, learn the difference between a completely dry feeling 5 gallon VERSUS a wet/watered 5 gallon.
