iv been growing a himalaya blue diesel auto, and it looks prety much ready to harvest any day now, but i realized the other day i havnt flushed the soil yet. iv been usinng organic bat guano for nuets.

if i leave it will it effect the taste of my bud? also wud it be worth flushing it a couple of times in the next couple of days before i harvest?

i'd give it plain water till it's chopped if yer in the last few days, you can never completely remove nutes from the soil anyway so it's only really hydro growers that should need to properly flush. Soil you just give it less till near the end and just water last couple of times.

Hey there herbalis,

Glad to hear that you had a successful grow!!

About the flushing, chances are that you can go ahead and flush for a week and be ok. I do have a few questions for you on what makes you think that they are done. I dont see pics so that is why i ask.

first off what are your tric's telling you. Are they Clear, clear/milky, milky or milky/amber, or all amber?

What about the status of the pistils? have they receded into the caylx? Are they still all white or have you see change in them?

if you still have a good bit of white pistils and you are still showing trics that are in the majority clear - milky/amber than you can flush and be fine, but if the majority of the tric's are amber you should chop. After they turn amber they begin to degrade to CBD, so i would harvest if this is the case.

But to directly answer you on bud taste..I dont think it will hurt if you used all organic. I use a mix of both and have not flushed before and things tasted just fine.

if i can find a camera il pput some photos up.
bout 75% of the pistols are orange and the trichs are mostly milky.
would there be a risk of being over ripe if i left it a few more days so tht i can flush it a couple of times, or do think they wud be fine?

I am in the same boat tricomes are milky and just flushed 1 day. My question would be how long before they star turning amber?? and could i just water every day for a few days. I am growing in potting soil and use x nutreints. thx

ive got one of them growing now, she started flowering around day 28, and has branched nicely into a mini bush, shes a beaut but im guessing its a auto that takes close to 80 days to finish, will see. keep us posted.

A lot of experienced growers don't even bother with a flush - especially with organic soil grows. Others have different opinions but in my experience the difference between flushed and unflushed is negligible. I wouldn't worry. I'd just use plain water from this point forward and cut when ready. They'll be fine.
