I need some good advice pretty quickly

Don't know if the is the right thread or not but I have some AK-47 ladies that have been in flower for three days. There was some major problems in the last couple weeks of veg and the clones i took didn't take because of the poor health of the plant.

Now here is where I need some advice. I am OUT of seeds and seriously need to get some clones off of these ladies... the problem is that they are already in flowering and besides that there isn't that many clone sites due to the plant now fully recoving yet. The problem has been fixed and I'm confident they are getting better... so, should I revert them to a vegitive light cycle and let them bush out enough to be able to get the clones I need? I'm afraid they will hermy because AK has that tendancy.... any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

well are you sure you cloned properly? you wouldn't want to take more branches if you failed before and are doing the same thing. going back to veg is your best bet if you really want to take clones...it might hermie it might not. if it already isn't in good health it could hermie either way, so just leave the lights on 24/0 for 5 days, then to 18/6. but if it already isn't healthy, you need to worry about fixing that too.

How are you propigating clones? What is your method?

I use a bubble cloner and always have a pretty good success rate. The plant was just not healthy enough when i took them and unfortunately i also pruned the plant quite a bit removing possible clone sites. I'm sorta damned if i do and damned i don't. I need clones but dont want to hermie them. It sucks being a newb...

Relax man, you have a week or so before they would be "stalled", due to the reverting from flower thing. You should have absolutely no problem taking clones up to 2 weeks flower. As long as the health of the plant in question, is not poor. Use iso alcohol on your cutting equipment before taking cuts.

Like truth said....you may want to rethink putting them back in veg until it is healthy enough to take viable clones. It's your call bro.

So brother monk, i'm confused about what your saying... should i keep them in flower and take clones from them in the next week or so or should i wait a week and then put them into veg again?

If you have straightened out the health issue, let them flower as normal...then take cuts as they stretch. If they are unhealthy, then you might want to put them back into veg..as stated by truth.

are your plants from serious seeds? i have grown simons genetics for awhile and can say AK-47 clones well and imo doesn't hermie that easy. i have taken clones through out the flower cycle and have had good results. ideally you want to take clones in the veg cycle but that doesn't always happen. it kinda of depends on how bad of shape your plants are in but you might want to revert back to veg as stated before. again depending on how bad off your girls are and how many you have you might want to revert one or two and let the rest keep going the most important thing is to get those girls healthy. i think monks advice to clean everything with alcohol is important. good luck

Fresh tender growing tips will almost always result in clones. Woody clones take longer and there is no room for mistakes. I have cloned buds by removing all flowering material, leaving a stem and leaves. There may be some genetic drift. I hope this can answer the question.

on topic: i'm agree with Brother Monk

and now.
the less woody, the better the clone, sure. but you've trimmed branches of flowers, left leaves at the nodes, and it cloned? did it take longer, like as if it had to re-veg then root, or did it root and then stall for 2 weeks, etc.

that sounds very interesting, i've only had success (limited, at that) with re-vegging, this sounds ridiculously fun and new.
