So are there any loose wires that go to the power source? The wiring should be similar to this when complete...

Most likely there's an unterminated black, white and green that go to the power source...

no there ars no loose wires. this security light is fresh out the box, it just didn't have the wireing diagram. i just want to be able to plug in the wall with an ectention cord.i cut the socket end off of the cord and left the part you plug in the wall.

the wires came that way. they are all attached. there is a white wire and black wire attached to the light socket.the white wire is part of the 5 white wires and the black wire is part of the blue, black, and white bundle.

sorry if i make no since, but as you can tell i'm no electrition

I might be wrong, but if the base/bulb is connected then thier should be 2 (or more on higher watts) loose wires, they might have the plastic wire covering over it or a wire nut.
one wire should say com the other 120 that goes to the ext. cord.

I am an electrician and thats unusual not to have any single stripped leads,I'd like to look in and see where those wires go but if I were to hook something like that up with just those wires there would be no question,I'd hook my neutral to the 5 whites and my hot to the 2 blacks.I'm not saying to do this man but if there really arent any leads,I wouldnt know what else to do

A better idea would be to look on the insulation of the wires and see if there are any marked 120V or com.,those are what you'd normally splice to
