I want to set up a room with 3 600 watt lights. what do i need in order to put a 1800 watt room excluding all other electricals fans and such.
so i know i need 4 pieces of 6 inch ducting with 3 6 inch inline fans to exhaust 3 air cooled hoods i am going with 3 super sun 2 reflectors because i heard they are pretty air tight. also i am going to build a room which is 5 and 15 feet in length and 7 feet in height just so i can fit extra plants in there i also want a 8 inch fan with a carbon filter and a 8k btu a/c. and thats all i have thats why i need help with building a room up thanks.

sounds like you have the equipment... start setting it up, you'll know when your missing something. but heres a quick list
ballasts- 3 x 600w (insert name here)
bulbs- 3x 600w (insert name here)
hoods- 3 x super sun 2 reflectors
ducting- 25' x 6" light proof
25' x 8" light proof
fans- 1 6" (insert CFM/brand here) for ducting
2 8" (insert CFM/brand here) for Intake and Exhaust
Filters- 1 8" carbon filter for exhaust
1 8" intake prefilter for intake
1 6" intake prefilter for hoods
Lighting timer/s - for ballasts
Atmosphere control/fan speed contoller - for intake/exhaust
day/night timer - for hood fan
oscillating fan/s - 2 or 3 ( i like 2 up high and 1 below foliage )
A/C - for summer months ( 8" intake/exhaust wont need A/C in fall/winter)
Dehumidifier - for cooler months (i need one during fall/winter)
Building materials- Pandafilm (black/white poly)
light ratchets x 4 (3 for lights/ 1 for carbon filter)
eyelets x 8 ( for light ratchets )
pots and saucers

well depending on the temp situation I would have a nice size fan exhausting the air from the room thru the lights and out of the room and a smaller fan bringing fresh air in to the room.....so you only need to use 2 fans that's how I do it I run 3 600w cooltubes

you could definitely run it that way too. i just like having the hood fan and the Intake/Exhaust on there own controllers.

i have decided on four lights so how much air power do you need for intake/outtake for the lights? i am going with cooltubes too because they sound so much better than aircooled hoods because of the way better airflow. also do you think i could cover a 4x4 area with a 600 watt?

I like 3x3 for my 600's but you can do 4x4, it really depends on the light spread of your hoods. i would keep all the lights on there own fan. i dont like having all the fans on the same controller in fear of mechanical failure.

i already designed the room its 10 x 20 x 8 room and going to use 10 x 7 x 8 for vegging and split it with drywall and the other side is the remaining room which is 10 x 13 x 8 which gives each light at least a 4 x 5 light footprint

4x4 is too much space for a 600. That's 37.5 watts per sq ft. - Not enough. Go with 3x3 or use 1000w for a 4x4. 4x4 is almost twice the sq footage as 3x3. Good luck. -granger
