I need help getting pased the seeding stage.
Pixie styx auto. I've grown autos several times before. But I usually struggle getting past the seedling stage. But once I do it works out some of the time and others times not.

I usually wait till the seed gets too about 6" tall and then transplant to a 3 gallon pot of soil.
Im trying to NOT over water the seedling.

Yes, as soon as your seedling's neckline breaches the surface of your media and her cotyledons unfold, it's time to remove the hood and harden her off to the natural environment. Doing so helps give your plant more muscle as it begins to develop a more complex root network.

Also, with autos, it's not a very good idea to transplant after your roots have been able to explore too much between the media and inner plastic surface of the Solo cup. Certainly you don't want your taproot poking out the bottom too far, preferably at all. You really want to get that plant into it's final media as quickly as possible. If you're worried that the surrounding soil will be too hot for her, don't be. When you put her in to the final pot and water, some of the available nutrients in your primary media will leach into the germination and seedling starter plug you've set for her. That will begin introducing more nutrients naturally. Your plant will then be able to gradually adjust to the new setting and media climate (more available nutes) so that when her tap root breaches the bottom of the plug she'll already be somewhat acclimated to the new pot environment.

As pjlive pointed out, transplanting is likely your biggest issue. Plant in the final pot size. Make femmed seed if you have no room for males.

You do not need that dome at all for seedlings. Also, make sure you let the medium dry between waterings.. Do not use nutrients at that age. Tap or RO water only
As Hammerhead says,,,,
Also it has a while before you need to transplant,,,
Most of the time ,less is more,,,

Over the mistakes of transplanting or overwatering ....The soil seems clearly not enough aerated (not talking about soil quality).

They need aerated soil and small waterings to raise their metabolism up.

As long as you can water that properly? Using a huge pot like that won't dry properly with such a small plant. You need the plant to go looking for its moisture. This is how the medium dries properly.. If there is no root mass to suck it up it will not dry and cause plant issues. If you use a pre charged medium do not believe their claims it lasts months. At best you will get 30-40 days depending on plant size.. After that, you need to feed.

Good way to kill the sprout imo. My soil gets dry and it dies, the microbes die, and the sprout will die.

I don't know what happened to the big bud auto. It was fine a few weeks ago and now it's looking like shit. I think maybe a little over watered or maybe not fed enough food during the veg stage or maybe shitty soil, but not sure. So I'm gonna keep her going until all the leaves die. She was supposed to go 12 weeks flower with no problems just like my last big bud auto did. I'm going to try to see how close to 12 weeks I can get shes at 7 weeks now. I won't get the yield I was supposed to with big bud auto but something is better than nothing i always say.

And so far the new seedling isn't dead yet.

Watering a plant in a big pot works with the right amount of water each time. Though conditions are very different between grows, imagining the plant stuffed in a watering can is a rough estimate of the water it needs. Water a little around the base of the plant and wait a minute. Then water the rest slowly around the same area.

Your goal is to wet the root zone and a bit of the surrounding soil. :)

Here are 6 OHz plants growing roots. They are in my diary #7. I do make stands for the dixie cups from other cups, so the drain holes on the bottom are free to flow. The base also has holes to let warm air from the heating pad under the tray circulate. I drench the cup as needed, judging by the weight of the cup how wat the soil is.

DSC02058.JPG When the leave drip line is beyond the dixie cup, so are the roots and it's time for a bigger pot for sexing. If they were fems they would go into the 10 gallon bag of soil.

I found the hardest part was getting the tailed seeds to sprout. I now fill the cup 1//2 full with my soil, then a 1" layer of fox farm seed starter. It is a light fluffy mix that the seed head can travelthrough. As the skinny stem grows, I fill the top with BAS top dress, which has a lot of worm castings. Add microbes, and aloe to the water, and keep the soil moist. I don't think microbes and iuns work in dry media.

This is working for me, your mileage may vary.

Transplanting autos is just dumb, there is no "while before transplant" unless you want the stunted plants #1cheesebuds is complaining about. 🤦
I am many things Douglas but dumb is certainly not one of those and I expected a bit more from you Sir,,,
disappointing ,,,,
