I Need Help BAD

I Planted my seeds about 2 weeks ago,
About a quarter inch or so in the ground, wet the soil first and covered it up and watered around it ...

Nothin .. no sprout nothin, So im tryna look at it like maybe they were older seed's,give it 3 weeks .... But my question is,

I got some good tree and the seeds look much much healthier and mature then what i planted,

will it be to late to plant about 3 or 4 more?
Im growin outside in the woods,

Help and comments will be appreciated.

yes you do need help bad.

for best results...you'll wanna germ. your seeds indoors and get them goin under a shop light.

or at least germ. them indoors.

sounds like you may have planted them a bit too deep too.

it's not to late to plant more seeds

You can use a combination of methods endlessly. The method I prefer is soaking the seeds in a cup of distilled water for 24 hours. Then take the seeds and wrap them in a moist, not wet, paper towel. Slip the towel into a plastic baggy and sit it somewhere dark and warm. I usually have them sprouted in 24 hours. I think your placement sounds fine. I plant mine in moist soil about a 1/4" in taproot down. Usually sprout through the soil within the first three days, but sometimes faster, sometimes slower. Are you using any kinds of fertilizer on them yet? That could kill the seedlings. Germinate and then plant some more and hopefully you'll have better luck, although with bag seed, you may want to germinate several. I always use quality seeds from reputable breeders. That's where you get good germination rate. Good luck!

Thanks i'lldefinelty use that to my advantage...

Im nervous on usin fertilizer,im like just a 3rd time grower with no luck of them gettin past like ankleor knee high ,then die..from over dosin the poor thing in fertilizer...

Im not sure what kind, isbetter for my climate, what kind is to strong to weak,i use miracle grow 100% germination potting soil

I Water like 2-3 times a week , thats all im doin right now,
IHave some seeds in the ground, and like 4 seeds in 120z cups or so..

Ive learned from reviewing this site , to poke a few small wholes in the bottom of my cups..let water drain and leave enuff to keep soil moist, i think i might have overwatered in the past and im watchin my self now,i feel the top of the soil and see if its wet soggy or moist, andgofrom there .. this site is great, all advice is welcome
PLEASE !

germination first

germination first

you really cant just plant seeds in the ground and pray, for one thing the ground ia almost certainly to cold so theres prob lil chance there coming now. ive always used the paper towel tech(see my post under indoor soil)
and to dixie cups. not really a big fan of growing outdoors unless you have a gh or are prepared to do some REAL work like trainplanting and like a million other things

Here is what I have done for my first grow:

I bought good, balanced soil designed for seedlings.
I took a deep pot and mixed the soil and the water.
I filled 2 inches pots (real ones) with the humid soil without packing to much.
I made a little hole, a 1/4 inch deep and put one seed per pot horizontally.
I had 3 hashberry and 2 Legend Ultimate Indica.
I put it under my fluoro compact lights 24/24
3 days later, all hashberry sprouted and 1 of the LUI.
After a week, I did a 1/4 strengh mix and I started to feed them.

This is @ day 14:

You can see some yellow dots on the first leaves this is because I forgot to water them once.

the johnny appleseed method works sometimes. to sow the seeds, ofter nature requires germination. professional germination :)

Be sure to use distilled or RO water and a few drops of superthrive if they are older genetics or if you are unsure to the germination rate. Also make sure the paper towels are moist and not completely soaked. Floating them in a cup of water until they sink or begin to open is another good method. The essential parts here are a wet environment/humidity and warmth.

Does this look familliar to anyone? I had to use a pair of tweezers and pop the seed pod. I actually found a seed in one of my "kush" nugs that were recently acquired.

overwaterd seed will no crack until conditons get dryer.

Use a good fresh seedling soil and start them indoors.

Berry -

Do you always leave them submerged till they crack? Do you use sandpaper or anything on the seam of the seed first? What type and temp of water?

Tks

varies how I feel

I don't use the matchbox/sand-paper method.... if they don't crack, I give 'em a little pinch... but carefully as they'll smush if you're too rough.

Tap water, at comfy bath temps, in a clean thin glass container on top a heating pad. Warmth is key for consistent successful germination.

wow!... this thread is full of mis-information :yoinks:

Exactly what is there to misinform on when it comes to germination?

As long as you have viable genetics, warmth, and wetness any seed no matter it be cannabis or tomato can and will germinate.

8 Ball.... the stretch is intentional..... once all that growth under the cotyledons is buried in medium... the root mass really branches out.....
