I may not be the best luthier but...

...I try my best,
I make guitars for myself and my friends. This one is for myself and its the best one I have built so far, the sixth to be precise.

Specs for those who are interested:

It has a White Limba core, Padauk top and back, Pau Rosa and padauk neck with a Macassar Ebony fingerboard.

The bridge is handcarved from ebody, the saddles are inlaid with epoxy and the bridge is two pieces, for the best intonation. Scale lenght is 25".

The pickup is a Dimarzio Blaze, seven strings, fretless. Gotoh tuners. Volume and tone.

Finished with oil.

What else?
It took me two years to finish it but I rebuilt the neck, fingerboard and bridge.
The others took me about six months each, which is acceptable for the hobbyist.

The seventh string oscilates like a dream. The trebles are very good due to the neck and the padauk and sustain is good for a fretless but at the higher strings it is a little disappointing specially when played without enough gain.

It is not totally finished yet but I couldn't stand more and strung it. It is playable which is good enough for me.

I'm sorry about the quality, the light was very poor.

Looks nice, i like it. Making a guitar is something i've always wanted to do, but never seem to have the time. I've never played a fretless guitar before only basses. Have fun.

Beautiful work, al. I can definitely tell this isn't the first on you've made. I especially like the bridge design. Is their a piezo pickup under the bridge? Is the saddle bone? How does the bone saddle sound on an electric. Great work man very impressive!!

That's funny the acoustic I built for myself has padauk back and sides. That stuff takes forever to sand doesn't it? I love all the brite orange sawdust and the smell of padauk when sanded. I have a preference for pau ferro fingerboards also. That's pretty exotic, a 7 string fretless guitar. Fretwork is a bitch anyway. I always hated installing frets. Very good job on the set neck. What is the interior of the joint like? Is it a dovetail or like a tongue in groove? Its beautiful I'm sure you're very proud.
