I Lost My Best Friend Today / Worst Grow Year Ever

:badday: I lost my best friend (Max) on 7/1/7 :badday: , its taken me a week to even wanna post here & at my other favorite site. The Ol' lady & I had taken him with us to the woods last Sunday afternoon & after letting him run around for awhile he colapsed, we tried to rush him out of the woods to get help but he stopped breathing before we even made it to the highway. To say the least, this crushed my girl & i again. You see last Feburary my girlfriends sister was murdered & i lost my Golden Retriever of 14 yrs so we got Max at 6wks old hoping to bring some joy in our lives, boy did he ! He was the most unique dog i ever owned (German Rot x American Bulldog) & is so missed !
The other part of this story is, i had up to this year been on a 12yr growin hiatis (due to a many a reasons), though i have over ten years of indoor/outdoor growin experience its been awhile. I had pregrown several different strains from seeds + cuts of Artica Trainwreck a fellow member had sent me (again thank you) to be put out in the woods, had dug & augmented all my holes out in the forrest for the year, then i tore something in my knee a few weeks ago and barely have been able to walk to go to work, much less navigate the bush in order to go transplant my plants to the woods. Last Sunday was a desperate attempt to go try & transplant a few, then all of the above happened. Not trusting anyone to help me with my hobby & because its a security risk with these in the yard i will again attept to put a few out this week (if my knee permits). Worst case senario i will flower a few out in the yard for some smoke, being i don't have any real hidden/sunny spots in the yard i have killed the males & put the small confirmed females in tall garbage cans hoping to keep them hidden while they bud out. The smaller ones of unknown sex i have been keeping in a plastic tote & are the ones i will try to still put out this week if possible, wish me luck.

Damn man, I am truly sorry for your loss. I have a dog as well and she means the world to me, I can't imagine losing her. Dogs are such great friends, they love you for who you are and will stick with you no matter what, unlike most humans. I hope you find the strength to move on, maybe you should go to the local animal shelter and adopt a dog that has been abused or has no home. You will be honoring Max by doing such a great thing, and it will help you to move on.

I am going to smoke one in memory of Max and your girlfriends sister as well, that has to be absolutely terrible to lose a sibling in such a way. Hopefully we all go to a better place than this when we die, where we live eternally with our loved ones (human and animal) and we can all grow fields of pot that stretch as far as the eye can see

i'm sorry to hear about this! hope you all feel better soon... i'm an animal lover and know how much a dog can be missed something similiar happend to me last year with my dog.

Sorry to hear of your loss Masterlow37,It's a hard haul and the best of luck.Three years ago my female rottie(sadie) had pups.10 of them and 9 days later got ran over.she was the best dog i ever had,she would even pull beaver out of the woods for me while my shoulders were down, any ways she left me with 10 pups.Their eyes weren't even open and while my heart was breaking i had a job to do for her.I raised them all till when they could go,then i kept just one, ruth, she died 2 months later from parvo.Took me along time but one day i looked around and said i've got a good home for another good dog,a safe place, warm and loved.May you too think about another dog out there that could use your love and good home. They don't replace are dog,but replace that hole where the last one left.Peace

that sucks man, when I lost my cat it really hurt and I still feel it now over 3 years later.
I am not a cat person but she was so affectionate and gentle and seemed more like a best friend than a pet, she really transcended being a mere animal and was more special to me than most people. so I know where you are coming from on both counts. I wish I could help but I can't. maybe some of these megagrowers here could help you out! :D
yeah don't count on it. I hope your luck picks up man!

I'm so sorry to hear that. So sudden too. I have two dogs and would hate to have anything happen to them. They are such a huge part of my life. I have gone through this with other animals in the past. I know how you feel. It sounds like Max had great owners who really cared about him and I'm sure he had a great life. He was such an adorable pup!

my condolences to you. we had a pure bred boxer when I was a wee little lad and she got cancer after 7 years of good life, and boy that was hard to watch her go down slowly (we didnt put her down cause there wasnt an issue of pain or anything) she just passed silently one night and now she's in the back in the backyard fertilizing the plants in a different way....

dogs are amazing animals, hope it all goes alright for you, and i hope you feel better

Losing a companion is rough, so sorry to hear about Max.
I lost My 10yr-old Colby-Pittbull terrier this January, and I'm nowhere close to being over Her absence.
