I live at home, this is my compromise

Well I dunno if it is a compromise. The only compromise I have is the placement of my vent. But I had trouble making a thread title after these 2 bong hits..

Well anywho, on with the pictures!

First we have a look at the closet closed..

Then we look at the top and see the Lumatek Digital Ballast (400w) that I use, the exhaust, and my timer.. Currently set on 18/6.

We then open;

I'm using a 230 m3/h shuffle vent, and matching carbon filter. Also using a cool tube, the whole tubing thing is 125mm in with.

I really like this fan, it just fits right in..

The closet isn't air tight, so these holes don't do much, but they do help..

I'm wondering what the best way to light proof this closet could be, without having to drill more holes for ventilation..

Any thoughts? Comments?

Looks really good. Does your parents know that you are growing in their home or are you running it below the radar? Anyways you should maybe seal the doors better even in daylight i can see the light leaks. All that seems to be missing is Co2 and a cheap way to add a little Co2 now and then is to spray your plants with fizzy water. Seeing you also sleep were you grow you will be breathing Co2 at them. Here's the thing, when you link to pics off site, each members IP can be traced by that off site server. Now if a law enforcement official decided to track down some growers, it would be the easiest thing for him to post some off site links to pics, and wait to see whos IPs he got. Then a request to the isp providers of those ip addys and he has names and addys of ICmag growers. This site is safe, however we dont know for sure that every offsite link is safe. You are saying that in order to save yourself some time, you will use a practice that someone could use to put people in danger. I'm not accusing you of anything, just saying that as a new member, to be using tactics to show pics that could put people in danger of being busted is not the best way to gain friends here. If I see you doing it again , you'll make my ignore list. Not gonna cause you any tears I'm sure, but how many others have done so without posting a reply to you. Anyway, just posting my feelings on it. no need to reply to this message as Im not returning to this thread to risk my ip yet a gain for a 3rd time, although Im sure its more of a problem for Americans than my felow country men.

Many ways to stop light from escaping your closet. Just get some wood metal or whatever thats shaped like a L and mount it around all your edges. As for the door just place something that overlaps were the doors meet. You would have to close one door before the other but it would work

use weather stripping to seal your cab you can get it at home depot i guess it would be by the doors and stuff. if you cant find it ask someone that works there they will tell you where its at.

st0fr you might want to tape the area where the light is escaping with black electral tape, might first grow indside was similar to yours, grown outside for many many years, and it is total arena to grow inside, also when you are away you wish to give the plants some Co2, and this accomplished with a stryfoam ice chest with small holes punch into the lid, this was when the fog from the ice rises it will drift out the holes and give you the plants the Co2 they need. Mixing water and dry gives you a dry ice fog (co2)

thats a very nice cab.

if you need to patch the small holes I could see in the photos you could use black plumbing caulk and a putty knife....thats pretty much self explanatory. also, if the corners are a problem, black all weather/plumbing caulk and just clean the corners up and you'll be in bussiness..

by the way, what is the strain.

and also, I must ask, what is the compromise exactly?? you never said anything about it. I live at "home"....who doesn't live at home? Do you live at your parent's house?? I'm not understanding the big issue, many people grow from there homes..
