i just took cuts 10days into 12/12...

they will likely root faster because you have been feeding them bloom nutrients

however if they have started to form buds then you need to add at least a week for the new growth to revert back to veg

it could slow down rooting a bit but generally works just fine. ive saved plants by taking cuts quite late on in flowering before.

Obviously the farther into flower the longer to root, I've had some take up to 30 days to root but that was more in the 20-30 days in flower range. Depending on the strain I would say at least add a week.

thanks guys. appreciate it all...i just wanted to make sure i only took cuts of females hence why i took cuts at 10 days. i think everything will be good. i will let everyone knows how it goes

i take it your using seeds since you said you where waiting for females. with that said you should be fine assuming you took cuts on the 1st signs of flowering. good luck on your grow

one of critical mass cuts is already throwin roots throught hte plug.

the dieselkush's are gonna take a little but longer. i believe we are only on day 6 or 7 but everything is looking gnarly....patience in key and with one successful indoor harvest i am learning much more about patience

every time i have cloned a plant in early flower, the new growth was always very branchy and resulted in a plant that yielded well

this is very true. sometimes you may need to trim a lot of weaker branches off to get the most out under weaker lights

Word. Here are some clones taken 28 days into flowering. Took about 12-14 days for roots to come out the bottom of the rockwool and this is a month after:

I've taken clones LATE in flowering. They did fine. Don't forget you can always revert your "keepers" after harvest by simply leaving a few leaves and a bit of the bottom branching and then throwing her back into 18/6 or 24/0 for a month or so until she begins to revert.

I took some clones off a plant when I harvested it earlier this year ... 8 full weeks ... they were like little wispy bud-lets (I realized that I had not cut clones from this one so it was a desparate move) ... of the two cuts, one died, one rooted fine.

Nothing wrong with taking cuts in flower.

In fact some people prefer it.

UPDATE:

100% of my cuts survived and have been hanging out in beer cups.. getting ready to be transferred to 1gal pots. i am on day 32F of the disel kushes and the criticals. i already have a keep picked from each strain. this is purely going on healt, vigor and buddage. obvisouly i havent had a chance to smoke them yet. but in time that will be taken care of too..

holler!

moral of the story. humidity, patience, and all clones will root. awesome plant we have here guys

Good to hear you're cuts survived. I use a bubble cloner and don't worry about humidity or anything, just once a week water change. Using the bubble cloner I have cloned a plant that was about 2 weeks away from being picked. A pineapple smelling Blue Mystic from Nirvana. It took longer than the other cuttings I had from vegging plants to grow roots however now it's roots are about 6" long and a decent mass so far, the plant is still revegging though. You're flowering cuts should branch a lot once you put them back in veg which is great to use as a mother plant.
