I just saw a NORML commercial on TV!!

So we all know those commercials for pills on TV like cialis and shit like that. It shows happy people and there is a narrator telling you about the drug.

Well. I was watching MSNBC and a commercial came on for a drug called " Positiva" and showed these people talking walks smiling, eating dinner laughing and so on. At the end of the commercial it said " for more info about positiva and to see if its right for you please go to www.norml.org"

I almost fell off the couch. Great fuckin commercial. Way to go Norml!!!! im about to go donate to norml now

A friend of mine had a NORML shirt back in late elementary school. No one knew what it meant, but he wore it a lot. Surprise surprise, he :joint:

Although I like the idea of NORML getting airtime, that ad was the dumbest thing I have seen in a while.

It was misleading, especially to the non-mj user (or someone with limited/propagandistic information on the topic) and it leaves me thinking....WTF?

We need straight forward, cut-to-the-chase, unambiguous informational ads that look professional in order to gain serious credibility in the eyes of the public.

I applaud NORML for what they do, have donated money to them, and support them, but damn, they really could have done a better job on that ad...that one let me down...I understand the message they were conveying but I think the way they did it was so dumb, lol..

That ad and its quality level seriously reminded me of an SNL skit or MadTV skit

Regardless, the fact that NORML has TV ads is a great sign, and it's about time. We need some MAPS.org TV ads as well though, too

Yeah true its funny but I would really like to see a campaign against those stupid "marijuana is harmful" commercials, those are downright ridiculous

I wish they had mentioned Jerry but it was still a great ad... those two Norml ads are the most honest and least misleading pot ads I've ever seen... us pot smokers are a hell of a lot friendlier than the fascist pigs in our government who spread lies about our pot... they call us violent criminals... THEY are the violent criminals..they say we are killing ourselves by smoking this stuff.. then they proceed to go home, have a martini and smoke cigars with the directors of the DEA.. such hypocrisy!
