I Have Tiny Balls

OK OK, not me but my plant. It is on day 38 of flowering. There are getting to be a lot of red hairs on the flowers but noticed two tiny balls at the base of a stem where the flower is with the red hair poking out of it.

Is this hermie? Or is this just a developing flower I hope? My fkn camera has dead batteries and my phone takes shitty pictures. I will submit a picture tomorrow but wanted to know if anyone knew off hand what this.

Thanks :bandit:

Yea, males don't have hairs that come out of the flowers. We can't be for sure from description though, try and post some pics. Do you have any light leaks in your growroom, or have they been through alot of stress?

ROFL :muahaha:

THanks for the input Levitikuz - those balls are happening on what looks like the most mature. (i have no idea for sure, but it has the most red hairs)

When I get home from work tonight, I want to post some pics for you to look at Levitikuz. There is a huge smell change with my flowering ladies too. They went from fragrant to /blam!doyou****ingsmellthatshit??

In the meantime I will google a calyx so I can better understand. THanks for the replies..u guys are great!

ok bro ill be checkin on this thread, but red hairs sticking out of a swollen calyx sounds like its mature and filled with resin or a seed, im almost 100% sure its not a hermie...
good luck man,

The picture you promised is worth a "thousand words". Hope you picked up some batteries for your camera----

Look forward to a pic post this evening so the brothers and sisters can offer sound advice on your "tiny balls", also we can appreciate your self deprecation. Still roflmao.

Happy Growing and Peace

Well, normally I would be in total agreement, but, my 100% male plant, up until a few days ago, was all male. Now, don't know if you can see, there are female hairs.

No hairs all his/her life until he fully developed as a male, every head (5) has p's shooting out now.

I am going to let it seed out then plant the world... overgrow style on the riverbanks and in the fields.

Can't tell if they are actually coming out of the balls, but what a strange sight so late in the game.

Peace

oh, don't google anything, those bastards are sell outs and they keep very good track of whatever data they can.

Also, how long do u think this plant has? It is on day 39

I cant take pictures for shit....so these are the best I could do. I was trying to zoom in and focus on the red hairs on the flower but didnt do too good of a job. Can you tell by these pictures approximately how much longer? Sorry in advance this is my first grow. Peace

looks like some good buds growin ;) keep up the good work.

the best way to tell if your plant is ready is to buy a microscope (radio shack).

once most of the trichomes (resin) turn from a milky white color to an amber color u can harvest her :bongsmi:

peace

I don't think the hairs are coming out of the male flowers though, a hermie produces male and female flowers, those hairs are coming out of the female flowers (calyxes). I've seen several hermies i've gotten due to slight stress, and i never had any hairs come out of the male flowers. It may be possible though, but that would be one weird plant.

Your buds look good, nice frosting. Looks female to me. I have some sativas that look about the same age, and I am going to let them go another 3-4 weeks, but I really can't be sure with your plant... just set your mind on the longer term and let is be a nice surprise if they are done earlier than you expect.

I too am really no good at closeups, I took this pic about 5 times in order to get one good one.

good luck.

I always wondered if a male could be stressed to induce female characteristics. I have plants that go hermie from female, not not in reversal like this one. It is one weird plant.
