I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY1

I wanna say THANK YOU to all the people who answered my question in the 'legal forum. Its so comforting to get positive answers from people who've "been there/done that" and that "walk it AND talk it".
Im a planetskunk 'site refugee and i can tell you this place is warm and cozy and full of good folks :kissass:

Now for my question,(and please fell free to post your opinion on this subject)
What IF weed were to become legalized here in the US in the same manner its "legal" in Europe (holland, etc). How would employers adjust there drug policies? Would they adjust there drug policies? and so on..
How is this issue handled over in Europe?
Im baked and this scenario has been on my mind. Damn good smoke :yummy:

Weed will never be legalised (or even tolerated as it is in the Netherlands) in the US or even here in the UK while we are run by our present governments, for one simple fact...they have too much to lose.

They want you to stay afraid so they can control you easier.

These guys have an agenda and legalisation of herb is not a part of it...only after they are removed from 'power' will we ever really be free...and that just takes time....or 5 years and 10 months to be exact :joint:

the govt. knows how much money can be made but they choose not to for whatever reason. the also know that the jail overcrowding problem would no longer exist. two huge money makers would disappear and the govt. just cant let that happen. one of the reasons pot became illegal was because america was afraid of the opium epidemic and they were also afraid of the slaves going crazy and raping all the women while high..

evl, i wish that it would become something to buy at 7-11 but we both know that it wont happen in our lifetime

You know, I think that even now, most employers are looking for drugs other than mj on those tests. I'm sure that testing positive for weed won't be overlooked, but I can bet that it's much more tolerated than something like meth or coke. Newer companies that happen to be run by younger, "hipper" folks do seem to be much more relaxed on these drug testing policies. Makes me wonder if even though the law may not change, the general attitude towards pot will. Even if it's just a "drug screen" type deal..where no random tests are given, but you need to pass a test in order to be hired. Really, how hard is that? I once thought that quitting for a month in order to pass a test & get a good job would be impossible, but after being faced with the possibility of completely random tests, a single drug screen seems like a piece of cake.

2013?

Did you mean to refer to 2012, the whole Mayan calendar thing?

Or is there something else calling for something in 2013?

5 years and 10 months from now is 2012...december 21st 2012.

The Mayans and other ancient civilisations predicted this, and Terence Mckenna produced a mathematical theory that plots the timeline of our history and shows that it plunges into the unknown on exactly that same date.

Don't worry, all is in the process of working itself out :joint:

Ah, I knew about the 2012 thing.

I was just thinking 10 months would put us into beginning 08, and then 5 years to 2013.

My bad :D

Interesting though, that John Titor also mentioned some interesting things around about 2012.

I don't buy the whole Titor business...wasn't it already proved to be copied from the story of some old computer game or something?
