I Don't Believe in "God", but Anyway - Pray for Brittney Griner

My reading of the election results was somewhat Self-involved -

following the Oregon Measure 114 results, to see if I will have to fill out a form to buy a firearm.

Then, BAM - this reminder of the Persecution of Cannabis users.

What Russia is doing to Brittney Griner, reminds me of what Oklahoma did to Will Foster.

a 15 or 20 year sentence for 93 pot plants.

Well at least Russia has pretty landscape paintings in their LEO places !

Thought this article had the best picture of Brittney.

Looks like she was arrested Feb. 17, 2022.

1 week before Russia moved troops into Ukraine, in response to the American presence in Ukraine.

I wonder if there is a connection ?

I'm hoping this is a Machiavellian move by Mr. Putin.

Something so he can trade, e.g. do a prisoner exchange, to score political points at home.

In other words I hope Mr. Putin isn't committed to the imprisonment of Brittney.

On the other hand, "we" (the US and/or the UK) just blew up his pipeline, which is an Act of War.

So this move against Brittney occurs in that historical context.

I have a feeling that she is a Poker Chip, to Mr. Putin.

I wonder how much pull Mr. Snowden has with Mr. Putin.

Prayers might not be enough.

In that photo it's looking good for her chances if she just tried to overpower the puny guards. However I'm going to guess that outgoing flight available to prisoners attempting escape is difficult to book.

SEAL Team Six could rescue her. They might also dump her in the ocean.

I don't give a f*** if you're the Beatles which if memory serves when they were in Japan they did something similar you know I don't believe for a minute that she's done it before and gotten away with it and then finally got hemmed up and I understand your mindset towards this, what you're trying to say, but Common Sense tells me she should have known she was moving into a country where things are a little different. Correct me if I'm wrong was this not one of those individuals that was an activist claiming she didn't want to be in America or support America how fitting she's where she is

Boy I'll tell you this if you've ever been in any dojos where there's sambo practitioners or seen Greco-Roman or normal wrestling in the world you'd know that the average Russian is no slouch you would usually throttle his counterpart and another country especially in our coddled little transvestite America

So Putin put weed in her bag? Pretty stupid smuggling drugs into Russia otherwise...

If she wasn't a WNBA player and just a average usa citizen then this wouldn't getting much news coverage. Thc cartridges are still illegal in the usa federally and state level in a multitude of states. People are in prison in the usa for many many years for weed. So it's okay for it to be illegal here but they need to release them because they're a wnba star?

The dingbat traded her for an arms dealer responsible for guerilla wars that killed milllions AND left behind a marine that didn't check any boxes on the rainbow spectrum. Brilliant strategy for an administration that wants to ban assault weapons

Better to be a warrior in the garden, then a gardener during war.

Compared to the United States and Israel,

Viktor Bout is an Angel of Mercy.

Lol Israel doesnt need those kinds of friends. They manufacture their own weapons and they have a highly self sufficient military. But yeah I could see him being in the CIAs speed dial
