Alright fellow ICmager's! I hope someone can help...I am purchasing a Large Coliseum to grow 150 plants. And now I have got my work cut out for me. I now have to get enough clones to fill her up so for now I am growing seeds until I find good mother plants for Coli so thats gonna take some time but I am up for the challenge. I wish I had enuff cuts already. But whats a man to do..
But keep growing..

A 600 sounds a little small (but, don't know the formula for colosseums)

GH FloraGrow (the green stuff) is pretty useless, I threw it out 10-12 years ago. Now its the Lucas Formula. It's the "0" in 0-8-16. Who knew?

Flora Micro can fall out of solution (never seen Bloom do it) so buying it in smaller quantities makes sense.

Break a leg ... or a stem as it were.

i dont know what you are planing on but maybe you should say what your goals are!? i mean i hate people telling other people what they cant do but a colosseum is not a system run on just 600 watts i guess ... people telling me that they run the 150 plants on 1.8k - if you are trying to set up a system for just 600w you might wanna not choose the coli - might be a little big!

shure it is a dream of a system but a hell as well ...

Yea I thought 600 was to little of light but they recommend 2 x 400. I aksed the guy was 2 1k's too much and he said it would be because it would burn the plants.

Should I use the flora micro still? Or do you recommend something else?

Absolutely. GH or someone else's. That's your nitrogen supply as well as trace elements. Things that need to be there but only in minute amounts.

Falling out of solution isn't a big problem, just ugly.



The official fix is to mix with equal parts of hot water, shake, and use at "double" strength. Because I use it at half the quantity as Bloom, I buy in half the quantity. Note the precipitation may have been ALL on me. The bottle was several years old and stored in the garage, the temps in which ranged from sub 40 to over 100 and back again several times.

Hi Mr Jones, Thanks for your post.

My goal is too just get the hang of the coli first. Then after that I will focus on desirable yields I imagine. I hope to get 1lb plus every harvest at least. Nothing to crazy at 1st. With seed I got to understnd I will have alot of males.

If that's the concern, avoid mixed vent; They're no match for a centrifugal.

If stealth is a concern and you can make do with less air-flow, mixed vents are great.

I saw te thread 00420 has and man he did a good job there. I think he has the mini's. Im getting the Large Coli. So a little difference but not much.

So are u saying centrifugal are better? Im confused on which exact fan to buy.

Scrubbers mean back pressure. A centrifugal will blow a mixed-vent out of the water. However, they're much louder as in "Scary Washer" loud. You'll think there's a hole in the time space continuum with dinosaurs looking through.

A mixed vent can provide stealth within a room. A centrifugal can't. You'll have to lock people out or put the fan into a room no one can enter (say the attic)

i have one. I;m not running rite now. I ran mine with 3600 watts, in three 8" light tubes. I would suggest running it for like a week with nothing in it. 2 weeks would be better. constant res flushes to avoid algae and slime clogging up the misters. I ended up not using the res that came with.had them dump into like a tray with a float valve operated pump in it to get the nutes back to the res in a diff room.

amigo i admire your gumption here but let me be the first to say you dont seem to know what you are doing? have you grown out any crops before? because if you havent got the hang of a few regular crops the coli is not gonna work out too well. picture giving the keys to a ferrari to a kid that just got his license, it is just a matter of time before things get past the point of no return. beleive me when i tell you i love you and your coli but it is not the system for you to cut your teeth on. i want to see you suceed as i believe the coli is a revolutionary system but you really gotta go into it knowing what you are doing to some extent. why dont you tell us what you know about growing so we can help you out here. i hope it doesnt seem like i am calling you out here. i just dont want to see you waste your time and resources

Never heard this, how long before you have noticed something like this? I don't doubt you, but am curious about the timing

Sorry if I seem like some kind of newbie but I am far from it.. I have been growing in soil for the past 5 years. But I must admit I am taking on hydro for the 1st time. A few of you might think out of my league but there is nothing I cant do. If you knew me personally you would think the same thing. With that being said before I make this purchase I made this thread to see what I could find out and I must admit I am seeing some good posts.

Why what went wrong? Do you recommend me to not go with the Coliseum? Is it not worth it.

How did your harvest turn out? Why not fix problems you had and run it again?

It was several years old and stored under bad conditions. Conditions warned against right on the bottle (along with the cure) if you've got a magnifying glass to read them.

"This product is concentrated to the limit of solubility. Protect from freezing and direct sunlight. If crystallization occurs, mix entire contents with an equal amount of hot water and double the amount used."

MY Elicent was, when new, the quietest inline available. Quadruple silenced, it could be heard at my neighbors door across the street more than 120 feet away. BUT, that was with the garage door up. Door down, the noise was contained. It could not be heard indoors. The only person I let in the garage during that time took less than one second to scrunch his face and demand, "What the HELL is that noise?" It really freaked him out.

If you NEVER let anyone into the basement, you're cool.
