What a two weeks it has been for me. No power, no water, no nothing. Living like real rednecks down here in the south U.S. The damage was unbelievable, everything is torn up, everything.

I rode out the storm at a friends house, and it was real hairy, we were daring each other to see how far down the street we could run, he turned back before he even got in the street, I went on out and got hit in the leg by a piece of pizza hut, and hit in the head by a piece of roof, I was o.k. and laughing the whole way back.

Before it got real bad I noticed my shed door was ripped off, damn, I thought, that is going to be a pain in the butt to put that door back on, by the end, there was not even a shed to fix.

I have no plants right now, I took electricity for granted, hope to get going again soon, all the cleanup and things are going real slow. Here is a breakdown of my city as best I can tell:

75% have a tree through their roof.
30% have multiple trees on their house (one lady had 8).
100% have trees down in their yard.
100% have shingles or parts of roof blown off.

we got a generator, but the gas lines are hell, you got to be crazy to skip in line at the gas pump, but people do it, and I feel bad for those people, one guy got ripped from his car after butting in line and refusing to leave. We wait in the 100 degree sun for hours, the lines are sometimes 1/2 a mile long, and they expect to just jump on in?

I caught some looters too! We all sleep outside in tents, and I heard some in the shopping center across the way, they were just being as loud as they could be, so I snuck over there in the dark, with a spotlight and a co2 powered bb-gun, as I got up on them, I shined them and peppered them with bb's they dropped everything they had and took off running, I laughed at them as loud as I could, damn looters, they were stealing vcr's and tv's not food and water, so I had to regulate.

Haven't seen TV in 2 weeks, but heard things were getting hairy down in new orleans, god bless them all.

I will be back with some pics, when I sort through the incriminating ones, I will show you all what I have been going through.

Peace to all, glad to be back!

Thanks everyone,

Everyone around me is saying they can't wait for things to get back to normal, but after two weeks of this, it is pretty normal to me, just getting better everyday!

Zep, thanks for the offer man, but I am not in a receiving mood. I keep my spirits up by helping and giving to others, it's the only thing that puts a smile on my face around here. Everyone is working overtime around here, the people at waffle house had been putting in 80 hour weeks, the electricians are working 24-hour shifts, citizens have been cleaning their homes for two weeks and are just now getting started on their businesses, still alot of work around here. Maybe I can do a test grow for you later on or something, I just can't take without giving back.

Time to get back up on the roof!

Later,

Damn man. Good luck getting everything as "normal" as is possible in this situation. Next time you might want to bring a little heavier artilery with you... If that guy had a gun you would be fucked. Lol glad it all turned out relatively well though. Hopefully you got enough smoke to make shit not suck so much!

awesome zeppdood! I worked at Red Cross helping evacuees.....and now you are the Red Cross of Cannabis! glad you are okay joe.....-peace out in the dirty dirty

Hi Joe, my grandmother lost her house in Long Beach. She evacuated and is fine. Her house was 4 block off the beach and the whole neighborhood is gone. I was born on the coast and grew up south of the tracks, went thru Camille in 69 and I understand that Katrina was much worse. I hope that you and your family are all ok and that things get back to normal soon.

Hey Dubmantx,

I have plenty of firepower, a .40 Glock was on my waist, but that doesn't come out just to scare people, it is for emergencies only. I was wearing it all day after this little incident:

I was cleaning up debris at a neighbors yard, when some workers up on a two story roof next door started yelling that someone just got robbed! It was two houses down and a guy was raking his front yard when a car pulled up pulled a gun and took his wallet! The guy got robbed raking his yard! The workers on the roof saw everything, and it could have easily been me they stopped for, so all my neighbors were packing heat that day.

Believe me, we have plenty of firepower down here, we are not hunters(my family) we just like firearms. I shoot at cans and bricks and stuff, not animals. I like to blow things up, not kill things. Won a few medals for target shooting when I was little.

What do you guys think of Gen. Honore?

See ya later,

It's the wild west again! What modern American can say they've lived like that?

I hope y'all get through happily.

Glad you're safe Joe. The scene you described is pretty much right-on around these parts too.

Yeah spirits are high,

But my head isn't, i resorted to smoking mexican dirt weed, until I get back to growing, I have power at my house, but not at my parents, so I gave them my window unit Air conditioner to use with their generator. Too hot at my house to grow until they get power, I can take the heat but my 82 year old grandmother can't, so she gets the AC until she gets power.

I have actually started getting a bad cough from having to smoke three or four bowls of this crap, I need to order the fastest flowering strain, what is it top44? or my lungs won't survive.

Talk to ya later
