Hey guys, I'm thinking about rolling out to Colorado to see a friend. How hot is the ride back between the state line and Kansas City? Anyone take this ride lately? Not looking to get crazy, but would still like to know if I'm up against anything.

Don't speed in Kit Carson County, CO... Friend of mine (I was in the car with her) went to jail for speeding through there on our way from Denver *to* KC. Granted, she was doing 125 in an (I think) 80.

So dont go through Kit carson county going 125? OP is asking about non hot routes, and you post about a friend going 125. Must be a facebooker, the peeps who always have a need to share an irrelevant story on someones post.

OP there are trucker forums believe it or not, and they have interesting info, routes etc. Just do a search on big brothers search engine, google. Make sure you add your routes in search.

Sorry. Regardless, I have heard from several that the Kit Carson force is out looking for pretty much *anything* to pull people over for. My friend just happened to be the very obvious one I've always been real careful through that county. I guess my point was if you're not doing something totally stupid (like overly speeding, or driving completely dumb with smoke pouring out of your windows), you probably will be relatively fine.

Regarding truckers... you don't particularly have to know them beforehand They are friendly folks, and you can always listen in on a cheapy CB radio.

Do have KS plates? Out of state are always profiled more.
Are you white? Minorities always get profiled more
Do you look younger than than 30? Some Pigs look for younger folks.
What do you drive? Too nice of a car will def stand out in most of ks. But a bucket might get you pulled over for being a bucket.
What you wanna bring back? You said nothing crazy, what's crazy?; does that mean a ten pack instead of 100 or an eighth instead of a zip. Cuz if its a super small amount just stash it really well vac
Be smart. Most of the bud sold in the us wasn't grown where it was sold, smuggling happens all day everyday. Cops are snakes and thieves, avoid them and play it smart.

Kansas is the second scariest state to drive through next to South Carolina....Can you look like a normal conservative dude with a super normal car? Otherwise, you are going to have to ride clean....you are better off flying to denver and taking your chances at the airport with 27.3 grams or something....My friend flew out two month ago with a grip of edibles, two different quarters and some wax...she didn't take any precautions and just checked her bags....weed is legal to have in your bag in colorado but not your car anywhere else in the midwest....That being said I have a rolled across kansas with more felonies than you can imagine multiple time and once while on L...it was scary but we made it...Oh yeah, Kansas has the gnarliest unmarked cop cars in the country.

that's straight insane right there. might as well pack some c4 along with it if you got balls that big.

ups it, fedex, postal, it's all good. you know how many packages they deal with on a daily basis? Way more than the cars cops see. Power in numbers. just make sure you package it right and use something totally opaque in your cans/jars.

I have made Multiple trips to Co. from Iowa, on I-80,I-76, and for a change of pace I made 1 trip south to KC, and across I-70.
I also am an EX-trucker(18yrs).

The advise anoymousgrow gave is good advise.
Just do the speed limit, stay in the right lane, use turn signals, ya know just act like you have some since, and you should be OK on 70.

I take a 6-8 joints for the 9oomi/13hr trip to southern Colorado.
I stop at truck stops for fuel, and take a walk around the lot to burn, then back on the road. I use Urban Wraps papers that look like a Cig. if you smoke them like one that's what folks see.
Then I always get cookies for the ride back, and NO smoking of any KIND on the return trip.
If you have a camera take it and stop and snap some pics., have an agenda, like a tourist.
It never hurts to have a legit story, cause if you get stoped, ya know LEO allways ask whaty your doing where you going/coming from. all shit to get you talking.
I don't have any problem talking to LEO, and acting like aint nuttin to worrie bout, if you cant do that with a 6pack in the trunk, ya prolly otta reconsider.
You know yourself, so if you can do mthe things mentiond then Your Golden.
Under NO circumstances take any one who aint COOL as a Cucumber too, caus when they split ya up,,,, You gotta KNOW He/She has the story, and can sell it.
My advise is Solo,,,, No one else to fuck up.
