Need a little info on a root rot prob I have been having. Plant got root rot early in her life as a seedling due to lack of oxygen and hot nute solution.
Now plant is getting what she needs.
Ph 5.8
Rez Temp 70F
E.C. 0.8 maybe 2 high?
Anyway started feeding Hygrozyme and noticed this clear slime that grows on the rottingpart of the roots. Now is this slime caused be hygrozyme or is this normal for root rot without hygrozyme. If it is the hygrozyme then what is the slimes purpose?
First time I noticed it was 2 days after feeding the hygrozyme.
I then changed rez, washed roots, disinfected everything trimed roots and refed my 4.5gal rez with 30ml hygrozyme and my nutes. This slime also covered (and Imean covered)theairstone at the bottom of the rez. The roots have started to grow the slime again. So I'm letting the slime grow.
Plant is growing now but by no means is it where it should be as far as age is cocerned. Heres a pic of the slime. Any info will help.
