Whats up fam? Is anyone here workin' with the hydrohut deluxe? I'd love some feedback on your setup and how well its workin' for ya! How many watts do you use? Whats a good air cooled reflector that matches the huts configuration?

You'd probably want a to go for the 2000watt system or 3x600watts would provide more coverage and higher lumens although not much penetration as the 1k, but the hut height is somewhat limiting when it comes to using a 1K.

Digital 240v ballasts run cooler, than their 120v counterparts. IMO this is the way to go if heat is going to be an issue. The Silver Star reflector seems to give a footprint which matches the area of the floor if you are getting 2.

yo' whut' up phog, the name is buttcrack, nice 2 meet you
well.. i'm useing 2 4x8 hydrohuts 15 plants in 5 gallon buckets
with 2 1000's aircooled = 3lb give or take an ounce or so depending on whut strain i'm growing i got them last year and there kicking ass!
here sum pic's to help u make your desition

Since god made electricity...

Flowing current is what causes heat, remember resistance? This is why we run really high voltage through the power lines, we can push a shit ton of energy without loosing much as heat due to resistance, the power loss as an exponential relationship with current.

The rest of the modern world uses 240V because it is more efficient.

"Why are there separate ballasts for 120v or 240v?
Lumatek ballasts are voltage specific and cannot be modified to change the input voltage. The 240v digital ballast is much more efficient, producing more light while generating less heat than its 120v counterpart. Other dual input voltage digital ballasts can never achieve the same efficiency as dedicated 240v versions."
