need more info...yeehaw... I have put rockwool plants into soil... I have put geolite plants into soil ... never tried dwc/aero plants...but I don't see why not...I would back the lights off a bit and let em adjust to their new home...I would let em adjust before starting the flower cycle...

Just movin plants from a DWC set up which has hydroton in netpots, to a soil set up useing foxfarm soil. The net pots i used should allow for most of the roots to come free from the pot an i shouldn't loose too many.

Add perlite to your soil mixture. Make sure root mass isn't heavily compromised (as in killing the main root stem and tertiary roots). Water first then dig a cavitation to put root ball in covering to top of stem.

Make sure you have a large enough container...like 5 gallon containers so they do not become root bound.

Do you have access to willow branches? Mix willow branches in water...great transplanting tonic.
Good luck!

Thanks for the info never heard about the willow branches before now.

Well.... I for one have much more trepidation than most....

The roots that a plant produces in hydro is quite a bit different than in soil.....

They dont have nearly as many hair like structures....

SInce you say the word plants....

I would transplant 1 first..... and keep it in a protected environment ....(in a bag)

and try to prevent it from wilting...... after 48 hours you will have your answer....

Did hydro a few times(volcanic pebbles, recirculating)....plants were 6.5-7 weeks old, switching to soil.

Yep, Budley...there will be a little wilting, hence have a moist environment to transplant into. I also had them in the dark, did willow water... lights on 10.5 hrs. then 2 hr. increments. By the time it was back to 18 hrs. the plants were robust and ready to roar (er, grow) showing no signs of stress. Vegged them another 3 weeks before flowering cycle.

To err on caution, I agree...try a (1) plant first, then do the rest if successful. It can be done....saving the root mass and carefully spreading in depression, covering up lightly (not compact), gently tamping down daily.
