Hydro Seedling recovery issues

Hello friends,

I am having some issues with my first hydro grow,

The issue:
Leaves are drooping and the leaves are starting to discolor then die and the growing is very slow.

The setup:
LED light
24/0 light schedule
36 days (from seed)
Temp 19/20c
ebb & flow (recirculating)
ph 5.8 to 6
Clay balls medium (rock wool starter)
The medium stays moist between feedings.

  • I had issues with my reservoir leaking (had some pvc glue leak into reservoir), I had to remove and rebuild the reservoir which meant manual watering 1 to 2 (sometimes none) per day for 1.5 weeks.
  • I re-installed reservoir, flushed system, washed medium (minor trauma to plants as I had to pull them to wash the medium).
  • After all the above, I started watering the plants every 2/3 hours for 15 mins for about 5 days.
  • Yesterday I started using half strength nutes (recommended by nutrient supplier).

I understand the damage to the discolored leaves cannot change, but it has been almost a week on the new schedule and the green leaves are still drooping.

Any insights into this issue?

Hi
Sorry to hear your having issues with your hydro attempt.
I think i understand that you have been running plain water so far (until yesterday).
There is your issue.
They should start to move now,
Ive done all kinds of hydro but the one you are using so ill let someone else answer.
Had your plants rooted out of the cubes?

All except one the smallest in the above photo but that has perked up so I am assuming she broke through the rockwool too.
