HVAC Help! HRV/ERV Cool Room in Cold Weather?

Thanks for stopping by. I'm looking for ways to help cool my flower room in the winter with Mother Nature's natural AC!

So besides running a couple of filtered inline fans on dampers, hooked up to thermostats, and fight lights out humidity spikes by running a dehumidifier,
I see these HRV & ERV units and wonder would they cool and possibly help control humidity?
Also from my limited understanding of these units, it seems like it could be used in a CO2 enriched environment as long as u didn't exhaust the room air out.
Does any of this make sense? I know I'm missing something whether its in practice or theory and want to lean on the very knowledgeable ICMaG family!

Been lurkin around for threads on these units but there ain't much on here and had no luck at all with how these units might apply for our use. I see some stuff out there about how they're used in server rooms to help with cooling costs and server rooms and grow room do share some similarities as far environmental control.

It seems like it would only be feasible in cold weather climates but if they worked for our applications it might help save some serious $$ being that they use around 2amps for a smaller sized unit

Well interesting thread, too bad there's not much info. Have you got any solution b_Easy? I'm having the same nightmare right here, trying to figure how to get the hot air out in the cold.. I'm thinking the perfect solution would be an A/C..

the problem with these units is cost.

most of energy recovery ventilators are designed to recover the heat or cold air that is required to be exhausted from your house, provided the house meets some air exchange rate criterion.

these units are sized to handle very small amounts of air... because normally a home requires only something like 80scfm of removal.

bigger ones that handle a couple hundred cfm cost an outrageous amount....

here is one barely able to achieve 200 cfm.

they are exceptionally simple in principal. you could concievably build your own, but id suggest just paying to reheat the make up air.

if money is no option... you can look up some of the fancy greenheck ERV units... they build hvac equipment for commercial buildings and make very large units...

were talking about 10k starting prices here though so gird your loins.
