Humidity

Because the humidity in my grow cabinet seemed a little low, I added bucket of water to see if that would have any effect. It's sitting at about 40% now. Based on my reading, that's lower than is preferable. Is this something I should be concerned about? Should I take more aggressive steps to maintain a higher humidity level?

Maybe hang a towel in the bucket of water so the water "wicks" up the towel. Maybe place it near a fan so the wind helps speed the evaporation.

Cool! I appreciate the suggestions. I'll try that out, but I don't think I'm going to worry about it too much. From what I can tell, 40% is pretty ideal for flowering and not really dangerously low for veg. We'll see what happens.

a $30 fogger from ebay via china will put out more and 3 gallons daily.

You can get a steam or cold-water humidifier for under $20 at most larger pharmacies and department stores. I use those 'steam vaporizer' units that hole about 1-2 gallons.
