Humidity Too Low?

The humidity in my cab never rises above 40% and is usually in the low 30's.
I realize that this is lower than recommeneded, but am wondering how this might affect my plant's.
My leaves feel overly dry and even a little brittle sometimes. Is this possibly related to the low humidity?

The humidity in my cab is there, if not even lower, and I've never experienced dry or brittle leaves except as a result of nute burn. Only real effect of low humidity I can find is that the plants will drink more and the soil will dry out faster, but on the bright side it should increase THC production and discourage mold.

They lose 'turgor' in low RH%....because they lose water too rapidly and this screws up metabolism....especially if combined with intense heat...

.....in hydro...water will evaporate from the solution faster...leaving it (the nutrient solution) more highly concentrated...which, in turn, can indirectly burn the plants....

Low RH in extreme heat is not good for veg...

get a spray bottle and spray them with a light mist, its the same thing as raising the humidity level and just do this untl you finish the harvest or get a better permant fix. peace_highst

a pic really would be best

With low humidity a plant drinks a lot of liquid, and you might be nute burning your plants because they drink too much. You might need to change your feed ratio......give them more water, or less nutes. Maybe...

try raising your humidty. Get a cup or a bucket of water and just let it sit. The water will evaporate and raise humidity.........sort of what the plant does with its water.
