Humidifying vapor-air before icebong

I have been trying to find the best way to smoke for as long as I have been tokin. So far I have my Natural Goods Vaporizer (ceramic heater plate), I use stainless screens, and i run that through my ice-bong.

still, the vapor' seems slightly harsh on the throat, and i feel maybe i still could get throat cancer from that. since switching to vaporizer i dont cough up black stuff, now its just clear phlem. plus if you exercise, you can cough everything up and not get winded. the only trick is to stay on top of it and not let any build up.

But to my question, what if you humidified the air after the vaporizer before it traveled to the ice-bong? it seems that burning and vaping drys the air out, and that if it was humidified it would make it smoother.

I think you're getting a little bit paranoid, let's face it if vaporizing is bad for the body at all why would you be worried about throat cancer? You still inhale that stuff deep into your lungs. I vape all the time and I'm betting its a switch that will save my lungs from the dreaded cancer. Even though its hundreds of times more benign than smoke, it's still particulate matter that is entering your lungs. Don't have illusions of 100 percent safety when inhaling anything... even oxygen itself slowly kills your lungs so don't get too worked up about it.

I hear what you are saying, but its not necessarily the cancer i am worried about its just the discomfort of inhaling that dry smoke. if there is a way to prevent it why not? thats what this thread is about, thanks.

Well if there's one thing I never vape without it's a nice refreshing drink. :) I like green tea, lemonade, orange juice, coffee, beer, water... but as a basic rule of thumb make sure you always have some kind of beverage on hand while vaporizing.

Why don't you just add a little bit of warm water to your bong so that it will give some moisture to the vapor easier than cold water as well as get rid if the small particulate matter that comes with vaporizing plant matter. It isn't that much but it's enough to feel it on your throat.

Once the vapor goes through the ice it will be cooled off but still comforting to your lungs. Using ice made from different drinks like tea or orange juice, etc you can add a little flavor to the nice, moist vapor. Peace.

the reason why vapor is harsh is because it's dry combined with resins
cold air is dry air as well however

you may note that a bong with steaming hot water is MUCH more soothing than a bong with icewater & ice in the stem

why? because hot water leads to humid hits, and cold leads to dry hits

so what you really should do is not use ice in your bong, you should use hot water. give it a try, or give it a try in a bong

Seems to me that adding warm water would negatively affect your hits compared to cold water. Either way, adding water to the smoking equation is going to filter out some of the particulate matter, but warm water is going to increase the solubility of the smoke, so more cannabinoids are going to stay in the water. I sometimes think of bongs like filtered cigarettes- people who smoked unfiltered cigarettes smoke far less than people who smoked filtereds, plus they don't inhale as deeply, so there's less exposure. No facts here, just opinions (except for the solubility part).

Great idea!

Great idea!

Hey I tried that out using just warm water and i kinda liked it, only just now tried it. It kinda seemed heavy on my lungs but maybe its just me.

I was thinking of strapping 2 bongs to a piece of wood, the first being ice and the next warm water..
