Humic/Fulvic Acid

Does anyone swear by the stuff?

Can anyone recommend the best product(s) that contains both.

I am also in the market for beneficial bacteria. Whats the latest and greatest BB out there currently?

Lastly, I always hear people talk about "complex carbs." What is a good example of a complex carb, and what makes it better than blackstrap molasses.

Looking for the highest quality products available to get a good micro-heard going. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. :)

I make compost tea with molasses, earth worm castings, beneficials, but as far as I have read, compost tea and molasses only help a tiny bit in the humid/fulvic department. I appreciate the replies, but could someone be more thorough. Is there something I am missing?

you can use any kelp/humic/fulvic product. the one i use is floralicious plus from GH. it is very concentrated and can be used as a PH down if needed. smells organic too.
there are some humic soluble powders as well.

with the compost tea... i meant that you should look into making tea as it is the most economical way of increasing the microbial life in your soil/medium. what you put into the tea is up to you and may include humic/fulvic acids as well as many other beneficial grow additives such as kelp liquid/powder, molases, castings, manure, etc...

Ok so tea = carbs and microbes mainly, got it. I actually own a big bottle of flora blend, but I rarely ever used it lol. I'll use it this time around, has all the macros and trace minerals I need.

The only thing holding me back is no access to hydro stores within two hours. I also would like to avoid ordering things. Are there any humid/fulvic products at hope depot, wal mart, menards, ace hardware?

I plan on picking up some kind of fish emulsion/kelp.. maybe neptunes harvest. I know a lot of people say fish emulsion smells, and I know this, but I think that smell translates into flavor and smell in the finished product. Any reason why I shouldn't use fish emulsion?

Thanks for the help guys.

I use Neptune's Harvest at least once during a grow. I love it.

So does manure. At least manure that is worth a shit. That has not stopped mankind from using it for thousands of years.

To each his own.

I have among other things the Neptunes Harvest Seaweed 0-0-1, NH Fish/Seaweed 2-3-1, and NH Fish 2-4-1. They are hydrolized fish ferts not emulsions they use a different/better process of extracting the goodness and not killing off the bacteria/microbes during the process. Great products IMO but be careful with the Seaweed it makes the roots go crazy (good) but also causes stretching (can be not so good). They do stink a little bit but not nearly as bad as the Alaska Fish Emulsion 5-1-1 that stuff REAKS.

The only thing I have with humic acid is my Blue Mountain Organics Super Plant Tonic which I just got a few days ago and used yesterday. It is supposed to work excellent and is pretty cheap too.

Just my experiences.

Well, if you really want to get to the heart of the matter, pretty much every single liquid humic / fulvic prouduct available on the market is derived from one organic material. I'm not sure how many times I will have to make this post before others that are posting in here as well catch on...lol.

LEONARDITE. Add it to your soil. Mix it in. There. Problem solved. ;)

This is what I'm doing, but I'm having some trouble finding good guidance on how much to use. I think I've done alright so far, but I really don't know what the ideal application rate is. If you have any advice to give on that subject, I'd be very interested in hearing it.

use as much as you possibly can! I use humic & fulvic for PH down! no I'm not kidding. at least in recirculating hydro. mix it in soil or use as a top dressing. it'll end up where it needs to go... don't work too hard at it.

hi oli,

humic and fulvic. well you more want to use fulvic as it's the part of humic ( humic is broken into three groups ) and fulvic is the better route to go as it's soluable in all pH , where as humic is not.. I'm not saying humics not useful, but why use humic after this note? I'm all about simplicity and when I use something I want to know it works.. but also on thee other hand I don't use fulvic or humic anymore, not to say I won't get again, I almost picked up the fulvic last week...

grapman showed you a very high quality humic.

but I will show you a fulvic here ( click oregon /cal or other states to enter to find ful-power )

beneficial bacteria is from: EWC, composts, brewing teas, EM-1, the air... sounds like your fine if you do teas

on molasses.. I'm not sure I can say it does much, but I might not know anyhting then.. roots make sugars for the microbes already.. sounds like everyone in the USA wanting hyper, supercharged plants... I know plants have been doing just find since cannabis first was around without people dumping molasses and sugars on them.. that's up for you to decide. also keep in mind molasses has iron, potassium and cal /mag.

here's an article from William texier on fulvic ( main guy at GHE, creator of bisevia... ... )
