trainwreck and urkle are the local favorites around here. Been smoking them for years. Not complaning. :D

This is my first run with the 'arcata' trainwreck. Shes great....frosts up early...looks like she will yield nice...smells just lovely...

but to say that you have to tie up buds is an understatment. You see all that string? That was alot of work!

Here are a few more shots of my trainwreck grow at 32 days 12/12.

As you can see, she is one flexible lady. :D I am going to try running her scrog next time... might end up saving me some work in the long run. Shes perfect for it.

Heres some more wreck a couple weeks behind the other half. I did not give these enough bushmaster and they stretched to high heaven on me. Not expecting a great yield from them.

I think these have another 2-3 weeks. Hitting them hard with the PK right now.

Thanks for looking.

Looks great Soy, I've heard the wreck looks like an octopus by the time you're done flowering her.LOL All the hard works pays of in the end. I make it a habit to stop by any forum talking about the wreck, I've always wanted it and staring at the bud shots is damn near mezmerizing, frostier than hell. Cheers and good luck.Keep us posted on your progress.

Looks great, yeah trainwreck isn't known for strong stem development and keep in mind a scrog is a decent amount of work also.

thank you :)

witchking you may want to look around for some seeds. Some people on these boards are growing them with good results.

chief yes scrog is alot of work for sure. I am up for it! :D Trying to keep them short anyway which means you gotta train them. I figure why not train them into a screen and hopefully not have to tie them up. :D She is one limber lady which should make training a breeze.

thanks for looking. Ill get some shots of them when the lights are off. Those damn HIDs don't like my camera.

Nice work bra...some good lookin ladies. I'm doing a wreck grow also as you've probably seen and indeed a stanky danky yielder! I let em stretch a bit as I had the space to spare. Got about 2 more weeks on mine and I wanted to comment on the fact that mine haven't had any spontaneous hermis shoot out like I've seen in so many other grows here, yet I'm pretty sure I have the real shit! You having any problems with this?

Peace,

S.O.T.G.

Correct, Arcata is a town within Humboldt County. Home to Humboldt State University. It is roughly 5 hours north of San Francisco on Hwy 101, behind the Redwood Curtain.

I've got some TW going on myself. Second time I've had this strain. Good herb!!

let me first start by saying THANK YOU ALL! :)

SOTG I have seen your trainwreck. I enjoy your thread very much. :D I kept mine from stretching by using this stuff called bushmaster. Im guessing I have around the same, 2-3 weeks to go. Not a bananna in site of here either bro. :D Although the guy I got the cut from told me she can throw some nanners on ya if you let her go too long, or if you stress her real good. Im gonna do my best not to let that happen.

CALI the trainwreck is a favorite in my book as well. Boris and Herb were kind enough to answer your question about arcata. Good lookin. :joint:

Boris...Herb...feel free to post up some shots of your ladies if you want. Anything wreck related is good with me...urkle related for that matter. :D

Oh and I did take a few shots of the ladies when the lights were off.

enjoy...and at the very least I will snap some shots before I end these fine ladies glorious lives. :D

oh yeah click on the pics for full viewing pleasures. :D

Thanks Lou! My friend used to enjoy your threads very much as did I.

If they keep goin like they are, theyre gonna yield nice for me. The guy I got the cut from told me weeks 5 and 6 are when they really pack on the weight.

How many more days you lettin em go? Sounds like the harvest is right around the corner...Are you flushing yet?

Groov, flexo thank you both. I hear the wreck does very well outdoors. As well as indoors. Actually I know it does well outdoors. Ive smoked plenty of outdoor wreck over the years. :D

Cali All the hairs are still white. But the buds are starting to swell. Not flushing them yet still hitting them hard with the nutes in fact. When I feel like they have only 5 more days to live I will drain my resevior and run them on straight RO for the remainder. Right now...given my complete lack of experience growing this strain...I really dont' know how much longer they will go.

The guy I got the cut from told me 50 days, so I am guessing around 15-25 more days. Im expecting it to be on the higher end of that. If they somehow managed to finish up in just 2 weeks some serious maturing would have to take place in a hurry. Once they start flowering though, things definately move with the quickness so it wouldn't completely shock me if they were ready at 50 days. All I can really do is play it by year.

how long have they gone in flower? Are you running hydro? Cuz I know if your doing soil I have to say do a week and a half flush AT LEAST. But I know when I did hydro I flushed in about 5 days with some clearex to boot and it made the buds niiice. ;)

Yes they are hydro. They are 33 days 12/12 right now. I still have a ways to go. Im guessing around 20 more days. But they way they have been swelling, I think it could be less. There was a noticable change in their growth 3 or 4 days ago. Up to that point the colas were still growing taller. Now they are just getting fatter. Seems like the trichomes just kicked it into a higher gear too. They are really getting frosty.

I wish I was thinking about flushing right now cali, I really do. :D

a couple of dried nug shots...

a couple of dried nug shots...

I chopped some down at 42 days. The smell and flavor is trademark wreck. Smells kinda lemon pinesolish when curing...when you squeeze a nug you know its the wreck. Trademark. Tastes great in a joint... The high is nice at 42 days...great daytime smoke. Creeps on you a little bit.

Did see a couple of banannas on one of the plants. Had some high heat for a couple days and the plants show it. Buds foxtailed a little bit. So far haven't seen any more nanners...hoping to let them go for another 5-10 days.

Harvest shots and more dried nug shots later. :joint:
