Let me say, first of all, that I absolutely hate spreading rumors...

Also, I'm sorry to bring this information here...

I'm sure that many of my Humboldt friends already know, however this is an attempt to let everyone know what's happening and how our United States Government is waging war on it's people.

As many Humboldt growers have heard, we've gotten (as a County) more popular than ever before with Kevin Hoovers doings and attention from New York Times Newspaper (front page) and LA Times Newspaper (front page) along with a supposed story on Fox News' main website (front webpage also.)

I'm sure many of you know that The Arcata Eye Editor Kevin Hoover has taken it upon himself to try to remove the indoor grows from Arcata by way of "the knock." He literally knocks on peoples doors and asks if it's a grow house or not. With video on New York Times webpage of a local indoor grow, the recent strike down of SB420 by LA court of appeals, it's now open season on the growers.

Rumor has it, as many of my Humboldt friends have heard that 300 DEA agents are descending on Humboldt County in a supposed attempt to rid Arcata of it's indoor cannabis grow scenes along with some outdoors if they can find it.

Sounds absurd right? That's how I felt too. Until...

A supposed employee of Red Lion Inn in Eureka stated he had inside knowledge and confirmed 300 agents were coming and Red Lion Inn was booked solid.

PS:

Supposedly DEA made their assumptions on the 300 houses they're targeting based on our electrical usage. Either PG&E is cooperating and giving them info, or, it's believed that DEA has the information from C.A.R.E. A either state or federally funded discount program for people who don't make enough money and need assistance paying their utilities.

How did drug task force get the PG&E records for the bust in this link without having a warrant for the house first? Is PG&E the snitch?

some of the power bills were small!!!
ive used more juice in a 1bed apt. 2600kw? big deal. thats only 4 or 5k+a/c and some nominal useage.

It's hard to strip a grow down, but based on this evidence alone, if I lived in humboldt county, I'd strip mine down. Maybe others are willing to risk doing the time, but me, no way. The prospect of the DEA, federal charges, federal court, and federal time, is just icing on the proverbial "strip it down decision" cake.

The only other thing I can think of is that this is an elaborate hoax perpetrated by someone (DEA, press, or citizen) in an attempt to get growers to freak and strip grows down.

Well, if this is true. Humboldt county is about to get ass raped and Arcata is first in line, because of that newspaper man and clown showing off his grow. I hope the very best for them and I hope this isn't true, but I know they are having some issues out there right now. Let's hope for the best.

I first heard the rumor about a month ago.
It keeps getting worse every time I hear it.
It started with 2 feds helping out the local sheriff...
Now it has peaked at 300 feds coming to bust everyone!

I have no idea what's going on. I only just heard about this, so, bare with me. Last year US Marshalls were coming to do the crack down. I don't know what came of it. Now it's DEA. With what Kevin's done and that fuck with tattoo's letting New York Times Video him in his room, it wouldn't suprise me. We opened up some eyes. However, it's the government we're talking about. Could they have put it together that fast? Also, why is the red lion hotel booked solid? Noticed a comment by someone on the herald that their friends brother is DEA and he (the agent) confirmed it? wtf?

I got alot of unanswered questions.

SOmeone should do a KNOCK on Kevin's apt in sunny brae arcata and express thier opinions to him as he's expressing his to the world. Also abusing his powers as a newspaper editor who are supposed to be balanced and unbiased and not acting as a policeman (let the police do thier own job not the wanna be tabloid editior).

I get upsept that he lumps 215 in with trashy growhouses that destroy the rentals. That's not fair or legal. Someone sick growing is DIFFERNT than "FOR PROFIT" growers. So his media and extra curricular activities like spraypainting "growhouse" on houses he thinks (no proof) are growing are blantently illegial. People are still saying that DOJ and FBI are coming to town for a conference. Here? Why here? DEA is DOJ. Is that spokeswoman full of shit?

I'm all alone now. Nobody I talk to on a regular basis grows anymore. One guy caught 3 felonies, the other packed his bags and moved. ICmag might get a grow show from me after all as I've got no one to show anymore...
