human casualties to bug invasion?

I'm not sure if it's growing related, but there was some gnawing idea in the back of my head that I should ask.

I had a small problem with what I thought were fungus gnats when I used soil. Mosquito dunked them away, and smooth sailing. Then I had no troubles at all when using coco coir.

I have no more plants now, but we think we have some sort of insect invasion in our house. We are being bit, especially when we sleep.

We have tried bug bombing the house, and called an exterminator who sprayed for bed bugs and fleas. We do have a dog, but he rarely goes out.

Anyone have any idea? Is this growing related or should I confidently call the exterminator and say "get your ass back over here"?

what kinda bugs are u talkin about fungus gnatS? or what man more details needed on bug type.. if u just seem to think ur having infestation ? do u have apartment or single fam house? .. if its winter.. let ur house get cold.. bugs hate it. thats y they come in .. seekin shelter and or food.. take away the food.. they will leave.. make the environment cold.. will slow down infestation.

About three months ago i had a series of small red bumps on my neck... About a week after that i had more on my upper back. After looking it up extensively bed bugs were what i reasoned it out to be...and i found one under the cat bed (used to let my cats sleep at the base of my bed). Looks like an oval shaped baby roach.

Bought a steamer & hit the entire bedroom + living room + washed all clothonh + tossed bedding + de + isolation... Took me almost 2 days to get everything. Havent seen one again, so honestly think i caught the one that just got into the house. Spent about 500, and a lot of time to address...all for one bug, never found a nest a brewing. Horror pictures if you search out others on line... :-( disgusting.

My cats never go outside... So i have to reason it got on me somehwere in public, say a restaurant or the cno... Or ? I played with a neighbors dog at that time...another neighbor i saw shaking out a comforter a while ago on the lawn... If they can live for months without food, suppose one could have crawled in from outside too. I dunno... Havent seen one again, nor any bites.

From what i read, most exterminators arent up to speed on bb and it really requires some effort to ensure they getthem, and if they establish a nest, might require 2-4 call backs. It really was a chore to isolate and treat every square inch in my place. Dont think my cats did it... Though i read they can harbor on animals, and there is even one that primarily feeds on bats though can make house on people too.

If u have bb... Try to get em early, and be thorough.

Have you ever found anything that looks like this near your bed, or around clothing, perhaps?

Look carefully, they look a lot like an assassin bug, generally considered a good thing to have in our gardens. These are different and consume blood, and can make you miserable until eradicated. Fortunately, with relatively little effort they can be eradicated.
