ht cannabis cup 2007

im planning on going to the cup this november. it will be my first time to the cup and to amsterdam. i thought about just going to the cup but from reading all these forums it seems like the whole atmosphere etc just changes all crazy during the cup. i really think i might want to go a few days early maybe a week early (and turn it into a two week trip? is that enough time or too much?) to see what its really like. to get to the point, i would be travelling with 1-3 other people, and none of us have been. im a fairly new member to icmag too, but i didnt know if there was anyone who lives there or who will be there that might want to meet up? i kinda wanted to find someone who could help us out, show us some cool stuff, instead of wasting our time getting lost and stuff. well if anyone wants to help a brotha out let me know!!!! thanx everyone

i dont know if i will have enough money to go!!! i really want to cuz what i hear from everyone is that its way better and the ht cup is just a rip off!!! i moved a couple months ago and just (like last week) got a job, so i dont know if i will have enough cash.... any approximate guesses on how much it would take me to go and have a fun time?

If your from the US youll find it hard to be done for less than 2500. Thats 600 for plane ticket , 400 for hotel and 1500 for spending money. The exchange rate really hurts us Americans. I know I found it very hard to stomach my hard earned dollar turning into 79 cents.......FUCKEN BUSH

If you stay in a hostel and make your own food (sandwiches, etc.) you can cut down on hotel and expenses quite a bit. Still very expensive from the other side of the pond

Anyway, I don't need to hype the Cup. It's the 20th Annual and it's proving to be the biggest one ever. Huge bands, a great new venue and tons of people smoking pot and sharing ideas. I know I'm not gonna miss it.

Rez, perhaps you can "report" on it from the safety of your home? Or perhaps you can enter one of the completely untested crosses you're having your customers experiment with at hundreds of dollars a pack? Maybe enter one of those mite-infested Sour Diesel clones you're known for gifting people? Good luck either way!
