HPS + MH or 2x HPS?

Wassup,

i'm currently vegging three dinafem WWs and a dinafem cheese under a 600w MH in a cooltube, and planning to get another 600w for flower. So, as asked in the title, which would be better to run, double HPS' or HPS and MH? And actually, would it be better to run the lamp with an ordinary reflector, or is a air-cooled hood/cooltube a must? I kinda dislike the idea of putting glass between the lamps and the plants, but I don't know if i can manage the temps without the tube.
My tent is 4x4x6,6 (or 1,2m x 1,2m x 2m for us using the metric system, hehe).

Theres no comparison as

The new digital ballasts have both Mh and HPS bulbs, also you may dial them down, should temps be an issue later in summer

where as the idea owning say 2x 400w hps lights implies you have the extra room or are gonna buy another tent

upgrade as many have here and get a digital light, flick the switch and you will have an extra hps ..? lol

I actually have a mh bulb and a hps bulb already, and the lighting set that i'm about to buy comes with an additional hps, and I was wondering which one to plug in haha

So rather the two HPSses than the MH + HPS? That way i'd have the most lumens, but i thought that the spectrum would be ideal if i had the MH too... I have two digital ballasts so both combinations work out, but i can't plug all three in Thanks to everyone so far!!!

the plants stretch better in veg with MH because of the blue spectrum and flower better under HPS because of the red spectrum.

Yep, I put one HPS and one MH in there, 1,2kW combined. The blending in cooltubes leaves a lot to wish for, as the plants under the MH are considerably frostier than those under the HPS, which have a bit more weight. Will probably get two dual-spec lights for the next run or something.

I use $21 Sylvania MH 1000w metalarcs--->4000K is what you want.
