HPS glare and security cameras

Any way to get rid of this? I notice on some of your guys' videos you are filming with lights on, and there is no weird glare with black stripes running through it. I know security cameras are probably lower quality then those, but is there some sort of lens/screen thing I can put over the camera? I would be able to see a figure, and can see the plants and all, just no definition. The veg is fine but those are MH bulbs and inside horizontal hoods, the flower is vertical bare bulbs.

THANKS!!

Some people can adjust the lighting on their camera's. For picture taking, adjust the lighting or "scenery" adjustment to Tungsten. I believe that will solve the black bars. As for security camera's I don't think they have that option. Are you sure the people your refeering to are using actual security camera's or just their cell phones or a basic point and shoot camera?

Thats what I they would be using.. Some webcam's have the ability to adjust the lighting type to other variables. Webcams can be used the same as security camera's and have that option.

I hope that helps a little bit.

Ok thanks, i will see if thats possible with these. The people i am referring to is just the grow vids on here/youtube, which i am assuming is just with a regular video camera or something not a security camera.

Ohh okay yeah that makes sense then, most people DO use their cell phones/camera's which usually have settings to adjust the lighting type and levels, switch that bad boy over to tungsten and your golden woes will be gone.

Enjoy.

Funny thing, when I take (still) pictures with my iPod or iPad, I get those black bars. I have no idea why. When I use my camera, I get great pictures, no bars.

One thing that helps a great deal is to set the white balance before you shoot, if your camera lets you do that. It's the only way to really get rid of that orange tint from HPS lights.

I have a temp/RH gauge that the camera is fixed on, and the backround is the grow. The lights are vert so they are BLAZING in the screen. And then i have another one fixed on most of the plants because it makes me sleep better at night.
