hps for veg

how will using a 250 watt hps bulb during the vegitative stage affect the plants apperance? will it make fatter leaves? tighter nodes? etc? does anyone have any experience comparing plants grown under hps and cfl during veg?

I used a 1000w HPS for veg because its all I had. It worked awesome imo. I now am using cfls and they work good too. I dunno if there is a better betwen the two but I know hps worked good. A shot of how things turned out.

i dont have the answer but i have been growing with cfls, and i just got HPS and i am using it for flower.
i guess the main reason for this is i dont wanna pay to have hps run 24 hours aday, cfls use less energy so use them to be on 24 hours a day.. i say the hps on only 12 hours a day is a lot cheaper and less notice able... IMO

youll grow nice plants, dont worry the HPS do the trick at all stages...
