hp pavilion dv6000?

the comp i'm on is over 10 or even 15 yrs old, and on dial-up.

i got this new comp/laptop (hpdv6000), but am waiting for them to hook up broadband on tuesday.

anyone use this notebook?...or have any tips on it?

i have a zv6000 and its been working great for about a year, the only problem is sometimes the fan gets jammed or something and gets really loud, but it usually goes away after an hour

somehow it wont connect to dial=up

but works fine on broadband

so thats why im stukon my old ass POS computer

I am very familiar with this machine. I bought one for my kid and one for my Dad. On both machines the wireless went out and both had to be sent back to HP for repair. My kid wore the keyboard letters off due to use and so I replaced that as well (did this myself). Don't get me wrong, its a great machine as long as the wireless issue doesn't manifest itself on you. A real good looking machine and very fun to use. I wish the screen res was higher than 1200x800 but no big deal.

I just bought the hp dv2602 for school use, taking notes and shit. I noticed it doesn't ahve an ethernet car for some reason weird, it has a dial up connection on it and wireless internet but how the **** do I connec tit to my broadband cable, not that I really care as I have a desktop also.

it's 14 inches and pretty small and price was pretty good.
