Call your senators and tell them you want them to take part in a federal law decriminalizing & medicinalizing marijuana on a federal level. Do it every month. Or more if you want.

I don't see why anyone who cares about MJ could not do so and still sleep at night!

Herb will never be legalized! Only way possible is medical.

I mean really...Everyone that is locked up for herb...There is no possible way that the government is just going to release hundreds or thousands of people out of prison and just tell them sorry... They will lose billions of dollars. They would look weak and stupid if they admit their fault. Plus they want people to smoke cigarettes.

What you should aim for is to lowering the penalties.

IDK it would be great if every single member of this site could write a letter to a specific location, but the problem is not everyone lives in the US.

It will be hard to have one state change it's laws to be less criminalizing *warnings and after a few then jail time for a few months? Growing allowed but only under a certain amount of plants?* But if one state does do that it will stick out like a sore thumb and will most likely be attacked upon by these people that think weed is the source of every criminal out there. Good side is it may go very good and other states follow. I wish it was possible for all the US members to write to a specific location rather then a few letters to each person's state.

Is it possible for us to write to a specific state? If so we should concentrate on the one that is the weakest and would be the easiest to over turn so that we could start a pattern.

Gel - I sugguest starting a guideline to the letters because we can not have just a bunch of random mumbo jumbo in our letters, we need to look organized and all have the same view point.

The pattern is already started in my opinion. To me it's more worth getting things done on a federal level rather than state (although state is good too) because even if a state says its ok to use MJ medicinally, federal level still says no.

Saix, we don't really need a guidline, although I'm sure we could make a template if needed.

We just need to say that as consituents we feel MJ needs to be ok for medicine and it needs to be decriminalized in general.

We can write to any senator we want, but the first objective should be to write to our own senators, who represent us individually. Our personal senators are the ones who are obligated to serve us. If you write to another state's senator they may read what you have to say but they aren't obligated to take it into consideration unless you are their constituent.

Its already decriminalized in AK and legal to grow in your home for personal use though our last gov tried to overturn it, AKs law is based on state constitutional rights to privacy in YOUR home...its your home people!
