Hey everyone!

So I'm about to relocate to a new place with a huge basement and the only problem is the ceilings are only 6ft! We are planning on using 4x1000w lamps and 2x400w veg lamps. I can only see the heat from the lamps being closer than 2' from the canopy as a problem.. All soil with teas, organic, 5 gal pots, etc etc...

I was just wondering... How would YOU do it? And why?

Ready? GO!:thank you:

With 600's the more bulbs and the better penetration and spread of the canopy from combined 600's will be better suited to the basement.

Should be fine if you're working with mothers & cuttings. I ran a grow with 6' ceilings and 1k lamps for many years mainly using Cheese and Widow strain variants. Both were short as hell. Cuttings (even on short tables) needed only about 4' total, because each finished cutting ran about 2' tall when harvested. Used 3-4 gal pots for mothers, 2 gal bags for flowers. On 10" high tables + 10" tall bags + 24" plants worked well. Great for indica - bad for sativa.

But the short ceilings can suck for mother plants, depending on what the strains. The more you bush them the more horizontal space they take up, making the spread and penetration a real issue at times. All depends on the mother strain(s) and their characteristics, and your own style of gardening, you know?

Yeah man makes sense.. I think our plant is to Veg is a different room under 400w lamps so we arent worried about moms.. Mostly just maximizing the use of all 4 1000w lamps in a short ceiling space. But I think a little scrogging and we should be fine :)
